I used to collect fiddleheads with my kids down by one of the creeks on our property. Tried to teach them foraging skills but they were more interested in TV and games as they got older. We have Morel mushrooms all over the place that are really tasty too.

Nice I know that feeling,we got chicken of woods,puff ball ones and oyster I know where they pop up most times after a good rain. Don't want to find different ones till I know more.

Same here, Morels are easy to ID but the others I leave alone as I don't know the spore prints for them. My buddies in Florida get some great shrooms.
