Personally, I'm still waiting for Northern Lights 3.1415926535. I heard it smells just like blueberry pie and somebody found it in a casket at the North Pole, that NL Seattle Greg got from the Indian, via a nym I'm not going to mention (because he has nothing whatsoever to do with the scene now and got his life royally screwed up by Operation Green Merchant back in the 80's, yet a duplicitous Boomer decides it's OK to use him as in a marketing tool), who gave it to Neville, who sold it to Ben Dronkers, blah, blah, blah...

I hear it's a legend.

Is there anything you consider "legendary" that is out today? What's the one strain that we easily can get today that is considered the Last of the Mohicans, The caTS mEOW, THE EYE OF THE TIGER, The Mother Of All Strains, The Real Deal Holyfield...

I don't mean to sound arrogant, it's just the way I feel, but any type of strain that the general public can easily get wouldn't be of much interest to me. Now seeds from this guy:

I would jump through a _bunch_ of hoops to get. Captain Jack makes _me_ seem like a piker... and inexperienced seedslinger... a pollen chunking celebrity fanboy baby boomer... This guy has bred and interbred one specific, true breeding strain of Afghanica for over _40_ years.

Look at how absolutely massive these pure Type II /Indica plants are!

Get your self some of the turkestani strains if he aint selling seeds cos all the big ones from northern afghan like mazari shebergan tashkurgan etc are all related i bet as are the big plants near the afghan border with iran at khorasan and the likes in uzbekistan or in pakistan say hopar valley or mardan there all like that there huge hashplants and they dont fall into the normal western classification of sativa/indica so much and the Uighurs are where they come from obviously in time hopefully genetic testing will back this up we know they where the big northern afghans are from already so the other regions i mentioned time will tell ig and there all interesting plants for sure .

@Charles U Farley you ever ran nl special by kc brains theres some pretty sativa expressions in that line too btw but as for lineage no one knows as kc keeps it quiet that way some think theres either a skunk a brazillian or a nl haze in there who knows though years ago he did used to sell the straight nl till he made the special so i reckon its the #1 worked with something else

I have heard folk speculate nl x skunk before you could be right sensis nl was the 5x2 till it changed to a mix of nl1xnl5xnl2 made by breeder steve for em a while back so if it is sensis nl and not just nl1 in it it would be the old one id bet chances are

MSNL has some of the NL. Not sure if it's #2 or #5 Just realized the Super Silver Haze beans I have are a cross from this strain. Might have to bump these to the front of the line.

Pretty sure there nl is sensis or nirvana cos they usually get from a bunch of breeders like they get alot from sensi nirvana and even bomb seeds like for example there cheese in reality its just cheese bomb re packaged as the cheese by them there chrystal and misty they sell came from nirvana as for there latest hype stuff they got who knows with that but they are the last i know of that offers misty and laughing buddha that ive seen these days

OT1's site, I think he passed 3-4 years ago. Wonder whatever happened to ~shabang~? I learned more from Vic High about soil and "breeding" than anyone else, including Frank/Rosenthal or Clark. Vic did more for cannabis development than anyone will ever know, including creating the very first web-based online cannabis community. Asshat Americans took his knowledge, marketed it on OG as their own, blah, blah, blah... Still makes me angry... twenty five years later.
