That's quite the sweet Franky rig for sure!
:fire:
#FrankyLife!

IDK if I publicly posted the two dozen QB132's I have in a 4*8 ¿?

One set of four is 4000k and the rest are 3000, so I needed a separate driver for two sets of four. The others are eight panels on a HLG 240-1750B so just about 30w per panel.
Only three frames now!;)
Can't see all of em but you get the idea...

Can't beat building your own finna try these out next grow, except the qb96 rig been running it a while it's awesome running it around 200 watts
QB96s – I remember those! I built some for a freind . . . until all the diodes started to desolder themselves due to excessive heat, lol! We ran them on the supplied pin-cushion heatsinks, which obviously weren't up for the job.

How hard were you running them?

Here is the fixture. HLG said you could run each QB96 at up to 200W, so we paired 4x QB96s to two Mean Well 320 drivers each pulling about 350W from the wall, so around 160-165W per QB96.

Interestingly, HLG knew about the problem and addressed it later.

I would like to get the Gerber file for the qb96 and have a newer one built, as far as the 5050 diodes go without an electricaly isolated thermal pad nichia has the best thermal conductivity, I would like to try those diodes and a copper plate instead of aluminum to increase thermal performance. And as far as a 3535 option the new Cree xpg4 looks interesting, a 3 amp limit vs 2 which brings the max power up to 10 from 6. With the isolated thermal pad and direct thermal path onto a copper board, we have a contender.
