You might find a small tent is actually a really efficient use of space and stuff. Not sure what you’re looking at for space, though the footprint in your pic is probably bigger than some plants would be. 2x2, 3x3, etc, some varying heights. Just a thought
Tents make no sense to me. Then you have to buy fitting to fit the ventilation and fans and everything designed for a tent. What's the point? Currently in a mylar lined little room where the stuff I already have works for ventilation.

Gotcha. Makes sense. Tents help maintain a controlled environment and keep light and smells in pretty effectively. Dedicated rooms likely work even better!

Tents help with light leaks, also. Though you're running autos, so not as big a deal, but it would be, if you were growing photos. Environment control, is the biggest upside to a tent, imo, though.

A small tent with the light, vent, runs around $300. I just don't see the upside. What does a tent do that a small mylar lined room doesn't do? And the wife still is able to put her makeup on. As the room was designed as her makeup roomView attachment 5341739View attachment 5341741
I think for your living and growing arrangement autos and not bothering with a tent because of a relatively small space was a good choice.

For me I like the tent opposed to my old Mylar diy bc it helps keep pet hair out and other random debris from making its way into the sticky flower. Also I can scrub the air with a carbon filter so my house doesn’t smell as much. Easy clean-up and doubles a place to dry after harvesting.

I get the house smell. I run a airmega air filter in my little 300 sf home. It is designed for 1500 sf. It does a great job. Filters run 50 bucks but worth it. Cleans pet dander and dust and shit pretty good.

I haven't got to harvest yet. Not sure where I am going to do that. Thinking my bedroom as it's always dark. Just hang it upside down from the ceiling in a corner for a couple weeks.

Yes I am doing shit cheap af. But this is just weed. I think we over complicate shit. I cannot wait to see what the jack herer auto does under 24 hr light. Hoping for 2 to 4 ounces.

Oh yea very easy to over complicate. But trying to replicate Mother Nature indoor can be very complicated
2-4oz from that plant? Or that’s what your goal is for overall yield per grow?

I read that with perfect conditions a jack herer auto can produce 500 grams per plant. I don't believe I will get anywhere close to that. Shooting for good quality good thc levels. I would be happy with a few ounces dried weight.

What are average jack here auto dry weight? What I am reading online seems not possible. 500 grams on a 3 foot tall plant?! That's a lot of dense heavy bud!!!
Well everything you read online isn’t always facts. Although 500 grams for an auto is totally possible depending on genetics, environment, and the guardian. I seen it at Cornell Field Days.
2-4oz per auto is totally reasonable for an amateur as most of my autos (8 or so plants) so far have yielded 4-5oz per plant and I am still far from satisfied. Bud comes out good for the most part even with heavy defoliation after my leafs started to die off week 5-7 of flower from errors I’ve made. I find photos to be much more forgiving tho and u can train em how u want to tailor your space bf u flip em.
Photo Jack Herer in the right situation could produce 10lbs dry weight I’d imagine. You should see some of shit people here on RIU get out of there monster plants!

Not sure, I don't run autos. If you want max yield per run, get a bean you can train under a net and spread it out. That one top bud that you gaze at so lovingly will be 20 top buds. You got the light, now get the process down. I grow in a sip i made myself for around $40, you could fit one right in that corner and have a lovely little self contained, carefree grow. I only add water, no ph measuring, no bottles, no mixing. Just space out staring at the leaves dance in the breeze.

That's only an xs1000 in my veg cabinet dimmed to %75. I could flower under this light I'd I had to. Your new one is a step and a jump above this fixture. The one you ordered has a new lens built in to distribute the light more evenly, perfect for a little sip/screen set up. Spreading out, or training (weather it be lst, scrog, supercrop) will open the plant up and make the whole canopy one big bunch of tops.

Here she is after the stretch. I keep my lights low and turned up to %100 during the first 2 weeks. About 14". I start backing them off an inch a day until I'm around 20". Then dim the light to %75 around the start of week 4. The lights being close minimize the stretch, and maximize my light penetration by keeping them short. Backing them off and dimming after the buds form will ensure the tops don't get fried.

Well I need to know what your doing to get 4 to 5 ounces. Hopefully my soil, lights, and 24/0 light schedule gets me close. Let's go baby!!??

It's easy to grow weed. To grow good quality, optimally....... not so easy.

Just doesn't seem like it is. I can't remember his name but he grew damn good weed with nothing but good soil, a good light. That's it. He didn't get crazy with nutes or this or that. Just good quality soil, clean water and light.

I am learning. Hopefully this jack comes out at 4 oz dry weight and 18 THC or so. That would be perfect for me.

We're all here to help each other and learn from each other. Also to shame the dispos. God their shwag is trash.

They day we stop learning is a sad day indeed.

The wife and I are planning to sell the house and travel a bit before we move. Right now we camp in our minivan. Seats all stow away under the floor and we have an outlet to blow up the air mattress. Fuse won't hold to make her cannabutter toast in the morning, but were working on that. We set up a tent to put our shit in, or sometimes just pack light and toss it in the front seat. It's got a little DVD player built into the console, glad I saved all those.

We rent a campsite at a state park with clean showers for $30 a night. I'm in NY, but we go everywhere. Just got back from 5 days in Virginia.

So needless to say, I've been contemplating on how best to bring my grow on the road. So far, I know I'll need a trailer. Small one. Then insulate the shit out of it, and double carbon filter. Battery bank near the yolk of the trailer, and some solar panels on the roof.

Or a teardrop trailer so it's a bit more inconspicuous with all the vents and solar panels.
