Are you cooking for Thanksgiving?

Picked up a small bird today plus stuff for pumpkin pies. Got a couple loaves of bread to make croutons for the stuffing. I have the makings for tuna salad and plenty of potatoes to mash. Need to get some brown and serve rolls, didn't think to order them.
This is the recipe I use for them:

Looks great. I can't tell if those are wild/dug mussels or farm raised? They kinda look wild to me.
Rope grown/ bed mussels are very popular in Maine now. For being farm raised, mussels actually taste really good and are a bit easier to clean.
Those were pulled off the rocks by me at pine point. Bit of a pain to clean the beard but well worth it. I love anything that comes out of the ocean farm raised or wild. Iam always foraging for something good to eat.

Rejoice! The holiday seasons are upon us!
The menu for thanksgiving:
Deviled eggs, stuffed jalapenos
Turkey breast
Spiral ham
Grandma's cornbread dressing
Whipped potatoes
Green beans sauteed with bacon and onion
Turkey gravy
Blueberry dump cake with blue bell vanilla ice cream
Kirkland prosecco, Oregon Pinoir and copious amounts of home grown.
Then come the turkey sandwiches, ham sandwiches, barbecue ham sandwiches and finally navy bean soup.
I may like thanksgiving more than christmas, unless you're talking about a wassailing, caroling type of christmas.

Wow! Please keep us abreast of that, although I'm perfectly happy with the stringy knuckle of a leg, if you can spare it! Sounds delish!

I thought they might be. Wild are great, just those damn beards lol. I give em an extra rinse too.
I like mussels more than clams, but razor clams are really nice. I only found out about 10 years ago they are on our shores:roll:

My wife, guess I'll call her Harley here on RIU (Harley and Charlie Farley has a certain ring to it, doesn't it?), just came back from shopping with this turkey. In my best Beldar voice I said, "I praise you earth woman!"

Definitely can't complain about inflation with the price of a 22 lb turkey for $8.77 USD:
