Blaze & Daze

Getting really tired of my caveman drainage system.
I haven't even officially begun DTW to any large degree yet. While my seedlings are developing, I have my final pots set up without plants, but I've been treating them as if they have plants in them, feeding daily. Partially to just get used to having to do it, partially to run enough feed and calmag through the coco to feel confident it's good and charged for when I do end up putting the seedlings in. Having to lug the shop-vac around to empty them every day or two is kinda getting old already. Even with my hilariously low standards, everything I'm doing here looks and feels janky AF to me.

We all gotta start somewhere. As long as you're getting weed at the end you're doing it right.

If you want to lower your standards even more, a towel and a bucket works too!

Just like that, y'all are gonna make me try a reservoir of tap water, aren't ya? I actually have a whole house filter showing up today from the Amazon free shit. That would definitely help with the sediment. Hmmm. Not to mention, I could put the old tub faucet to use for filling the res. Peer pressure that doesn't cost is the WORST!!!!! HAHAHAH

RO was a bad trip for me. And now I understand why @TCH runs his ppms a couple hundred lower than mine. I was thinking 'why you waste nutes? You stupid caveman, he grows nice plants with less money down the drain'. My tap water is between 280 and 310 ppm. It's great for seedlings all the way through harvest.

Side effect, my PH is way more stable in tap water than it was in RO. You do need a lot more ph down tho.

As long as it isn't taking a trip through a water softener you should be fine! Trust me on that. I had issues last summer.

Man, mine takes minimal if any adjustment with RO and the Floraflex 2 part. I'd hate to switch and then need to start dumping pH down in there. That said, it's still less work than filling jugs out of the dispenser. I'll definitely test drive it for a couple reservoirs.
