I add the langbeinite, azomite, and dolomite lime in the base mix along with dr earth 4-4-4, 3-9-4, ewc.
My sips hold 10-11g of soil, so if u run 5gal buckets cut it in 1/2. Go light on the langbenite, it's powerful stuff. I've topdressed with it in the mix, but only outdoors.
Langbenite 1tsp
Dolomite. 1/3 cup
Azomite. 1/3 cup
Ewc. 6. Cups
Dr earth 4-4-4 1 cup in the mix, 1 cup topdressed
Dr earth 3-9-4 1 1/2 cups in the mix 1 cup topdress
Perilite. %15

I reammend my sips after harvest, and keep about 1 gal of water in them to cook for 3 weeks while the previously amended sips run through.

It's a decent base mix. Too hot for sensitive plants, but a little leaf burn isn't the end of the world. Some research would say that the added stress leads to more resin production. That's what I tell myself anyways. Heavy feeders thrive in this mix. Light feeders test the pool with a tie, but they eventually jump in. Whether it's a swan dive or a belly flop is the question. But everyone makes it out of the pool with the hot tub life gaurd on duty.
1 tsp of langbeinite is nothing. Especially mixed into 10 gal of soil.

Plants doing well. See before and after pH problem, photos taken 12/3 and 12/5. Phenome at back-right got hit the hardest.

I flipped the light schedule and added langbeinite (heaping 1/4 tsp) on 12/4. Also put an ounce of homemade probiotic in each reservoir.
Those look great. Do you just keep the trays full or do you have a separate reservoir?

Do you have perlite in the bottom or is it all soil?
In the pots I put 4" of 3/4" gravel, then line the pots with landscaping fabric (partly to keep dirt out of the gravel, partly to help with wicking). Then soil. It's sorta like a fabric pot sitting on a wicking medium.

Got plenty of weed atm so my wife requested I grow some tomatoes this winter. Got two beefsteak plants that are definitely going to take over the tent. They just started flowering, no fruits yet.

I think the saying is true, "if you can grow tomatoes, you can grow weed." So far I'd say tomatoes are trickier for sure.

2.5 weeks later, they're blowing up. Got a few fruits starting in there now, maybe a half dozen on each...PXL_20231207_033315103.jpg

I was in 9 days at one point, I had open heart surgery and had my arotic valve replaced, I now sit in front of my grow cab and play some Johnny Cash
An AVR is quite a surgery, welcome back. Hope you're feeling 100% better with all the new perfusion the valve is helping you with. Welcome back.
I was in for almost a year waiting on a donor for a heart transplant. 2 open heart surgeries later, now I sit in my room listening to Dave matthews and Tim Reynolds
Wonderful you made it through. That's a miraculous surgery. I'm glad you're kicking back in front of your grow.

Both of you guys are walking miracles of modern medicine. I'm glad you're here to enjoy more years, more cannabis and hanging out with us :)
