Cuttings in flower for sexing advice

Hi,

I have 10 cuttings of my regular Super silver haze plants. Each cut from a plant, taken to find out the sex.
They are in 12:12 since day 1.
They are 13 days old, the roots are getting crazy and I am not sure that I see sign for sex.

Can I keep up like this or should I move them to small pots? (cups)
I don't need them after finding the sex of the plant they cut from, so saving the hassle and stress for the cuts will be better.

Thanks

Those are regular seed, I don't know the sex, that why I took the cuts, to flower them and sort out the males
what I like to do is flip the seedling and clone from it once it shows (from a lower branch, not a top). Doesn’t save a lot of work but if from seed I’m just looking for the right genetics, not a big yield. The clones will root just fine and if you’re taking the cut as soon as you know the sex it should revert to veg shortly after taking root.

I used to always do it the way you are, I’d clone it and keep begging the originals until I had sexed the clones. IMO that was wasting 3-4 weeks of my grow time. Sure the plants were bigger when they flowered but I was waiting so long for sexing and wasting nutrients on males I didn’t need.

What I do is take clones a soon as I can even if only like 3-4 inches. Once cloned usually a week, I flower out the seed plant & keep the clone as mother plant. Only time I do things different if it's a long flowering sativa that I know will probably stretch 20x's so better to start with a clone. Honestly I just wait until my plants have show sex then flower them, usually doesnt take that long but I did have a recent sativa plant that has taken the longest to sex even after almost 2 weeks in flower & it was in veg for month & half.

Guys maybe I wasn't clear enough.

I have 9 five weeks old plants.
I took the cuts and put them under 12:12 to see the sex.

I took a cut from each big plant, change light for it to flower, and I want to see the sex of the cut, then I will know how to filter the big plants.
Not sure what is proper name of this method.

I am waiting for the cuts to show the sex...after that I will throw them as I have 9 big plants, I hope to get 4 females out of them.

Ok so what's the issue just wait it out. Roots dont have anything to do with the sex you can either keep them in small pots or pot up. If your going to trash them anyways might as well keep them in those containers just dont let them get dry. You can save yourself some of those rooter plugs & just put the cuts in a cup of water then flower them out to sex. Same results but you essentially are wasting your rooters sexing like that.

The last 2 pics you posted are females

Taking them in flower makes them extremely easy to care for throughout the flowering period.

If it's good I'll grow it, if not I'll bin it.

The alternative is looking after daughter plants for months that might well go in the bin after I try it.

Given a few months they grow fine.

Can you please elaborate why female?
Cause all of my cuts look like this...is it the lake of male sign?

Non of the cuts of the big plants show any sign of male.. but those are 100% regular seeds from Nirvana
Not feminized, I double checked with them after order by mistake

Looks female where I drew circles. Males have little claw or balls this looks female for sure but could be wrong. I'm sexing plants right now. Males have a tendency to show earlier than females, so if it's taking forever to show good chance it's female. Dont be fooled though I had a sneaky male just recently that I thought was female, found out 2 weeks later in flower. It's cool because I'm collecting pollen from that strain anyways.

Yes, but a reg seed will be either Male OR Female. IF the plant you took the cutting from was a Female, ALL the clones will be female, If the plant you took the cutting from was Male, ALL the clones will be male.

A clone is an exact copy of the plant you took the cutting from.

If it’s me i’d throw them inna small pot to flower, that way if you decide to keep any of the cuts and grow them out when you determine the sex, they will be better off.

I took a cut from every plant, there are 9 different plants, 5 weeks old.
So 9 cuts, each from a different plant.
