I'm a living soil guy , indoors and outdoors.
For my outdoor grow.
1. Never waste time growing a volunteer.
2.The best way to fight leaf septoria is with resistant cultivars.
3. Grow fewer strains but more phenos of each.

For my indoor grow.
1.Don't trust big box store soil mix, especially for sprouting and growing seedlings.
2. If you are going to run pollen chuck seeds, commit to running enough of them to learn something.
3. When you find reputable breeders who do the work , stick with them and save yourself a bunch of time.

Coco should be watered at least once minimum aday.
Water temps can affect your plant.

Hi @cannabiscrusader , on point #3, how much do you recommend backing off on your lights, and do you also back temperature down simultaneously?

I'm guessing anyone within several blocks that grew that year also had a few seeds!

Most likely, if so - but not likely. I don't live where it's warm, or in an area where folks might grow. As much as I like using the free light (the sun), it's not really a viable tactic to get flower around here.

Still not going to do it again!

DTW coco grower.

1. Ph drop test kit is cheaper and easier to use than meter. After a year of using a meter. Its tricky to get just below gold/yellow, 6.0 ph. Hard to determine what shade orange it is if you want to drift from 5.5 to 6.5. Will take practice.

2. Aerocloners with aquarium heater 72-75F water temp will root clones real well, IME better than root riot plugs. So I get enjoy all benefits of cloning.

3. Bud trimmers save sooo much time and do what was complimented as better job than hand trimming. Can trim a pound in a couple hours with ease. Trimming by hand gots to be horrible for them.

Really a list of three tools that made me a better/happier grower.

1: Dark colored pots outside means crazy hot root temps (tried smaller plants)
2: Why would I vent out all the climate inside the tent I am try to build a climate in.
3: Turn my compost pile outback more.

What would be three things you learned from your last grow. I learned many more but these were the top three....


1. When tossing containers of ladybugs on the plant, don't throw the wood chips they come with. I found little wood chips in the buds.

2. Don't use chicken wire, use nylon netting or fishing line 200 lb test will hold many things in place.

3. Start early in the season.

1. Don't use bleach to clean out your Chapin.
2. Bigger pots bigger roots.
3. Less is more.

Nothing wrong with bleach. Just rinse it out with hot water. A tiny bit of chlorine is actually good for them anyways.

My question is: how much of that air environment is ‘used up’ oxygen and needs to be exchanged? If I wanted I could get it to perfect humidity in there, but will they grow? How fast do they use the CO2?

Tents are not sealed so there is plenty of c02.. You could survive in a tent without suffocating right?
