Ok, so, I'm not so complacent any more. All three of the myths they chose to debunk have kept me most cozy and warm despite the cold winds from forecasters saying the prospects of a second term for Joe Biden look bad.
@Sativied is right.
Let’s start with strategists saying Biden’s polls are nothing to worry about.

Let’s start with strategists saying Biden’s polls are nothing to worry about.
President Joe Biden is in trouble in this November’s election. This does not mean he is guaranteed to lose, but defeat by a vengeful, unhinged Donald Trump and his radicalized Republican Party is a much more realistic possibility than many Democrats seem willing to accept. And if they are to rise out of the torpor of this dreadful situation, Democrats have to first stop telling each other comforting lies about what’s actually happening out there.
The myths they bust, all of which I have repeated in this forum:
1) Democrats have been outperforming polls in all kinds of elections since the Dobbs decision and will continue to do so.
2) Polls aren’t predictive this far from the election.
3) Trump’s lead will vanish once people realize that Trump will actually be the Republican nominee.
Ok, so, I have never said I believed number three. I simply stopped at 2. My point is, left leaning liberals aren't going to win the upcoming election all by themselves. We need right leaning liberals (liberal in the classic sense of support liberty) too.

The Bulwark – Bias and Credibility
About the Bulwark (from their site)
The Bulwark was founded in 2019 by Sarah Longwell, Charlie Sykes, and Bill Kristol. The idea, then and now, was to tell you what we think—with honesty and good faith.
To put country over party.
To know that we’re all in this together.
And to build a home for the politically homeless.
These are not my people. Politically, they are about where Joe Manchin resides. But they are allies in the same way that Elizabeth Cheney and Mitt Romney are allies.
I found this podcast from "Beg to Differ" by Mona Charon to help me get a sense of where the Biden campaign is probably headed. Biden may be past it in the sense that he's no longer at the top of his game. That said, based upon his performance Biden is a competent leader and has assembled a strong team around him. Even though the podcast linked below makes a case for dumping Biden, they recognize the strength of the team around Biden and state the obvious -- Joe Biden will be the Democratic Party's candidate as long as Joe Biden wants to be the candidate.
The podcast title is provocative because that's how journalists write headlines. And they do make a case for Democrats dumping Biden. That said, their podcast is a thought exercise, not a call to action.
Should Democrats Dump Biden?

At timestamp 18:47, a key Republican position regarding the President's ability to close the border is first presented, debunked and then the political aspects of this issue is discussed (for a few minutes). I found it interesting because they explain why Republicans are being mendacious in their truthy claims about presidential power. At 36:20, they pick the topic of immigration back up as it affects NATO and funding Ukraine. I don't know the guys name but he makes the point that international policy is led by domestic policy, not the other way around. And so, Border security, although in fact has noting to do with funding Ukraine, has everything to do with funding Ukraine.
This is all to say, Yes, today, Biden is in jeopardy of losing the election and yes, the mess at the border is affecting both the election and our ability to fund Ukraine. The speakers in the above podcast raise the idea that Biden will become more strict about immigration across the southern border AFTER the Democratic National Convention makes him the Democratic Party's nominee. He might turn rightward on other issues too. I think he's going to do so because he has a strong team around him who know how to beat Trump by attracting the votes of right leaning conservatives and independents. I'm not happy about this prospect but my vote has already been decided. Whatever Biden needs to do to keep those fascists out of office, I'm for.
