Does gently and creepily crawling up into your lap count as jumping? The number of times I have told tango to go lay down, and 5 minutes later I am scratching her neck is in the dozens per day o_O
And she does it to strangers too..
Also Belle. Lol. I love when she will try to discreetly army crawl her 70-80lb ass up onto the couch right in front of you and then lay her head on her lap.

The other approach is to jump up there like a toddler on a mountain dew and meth bender do one or two tap dances on your nuts (or not for the ladies) turn around a couple times and pausing with her butthole directly eye level each time (I think so you know that she's actually the boss) and then plopping down with her stupid dog elbows right in the meat of your legs if you're sitting or in the gut if you're laying down. It's all so fun. Hahaha

We did the basic obedience class 3X just for the socialization. For such a big dog we're fortunate she likes other dogs. Our problem is that she's so big that nobody we've met at Obedience classes and asked if they wanna set up a play date/etc has ever called us back LOL. Our other dog is a 14 yr old heeler/chow/rotti/mutt and she can flatten him out...so I always have to be on alert.

Once he is gone it's gonna be hard to not get Shanti a playmate. The last thing I want is for her to get too possessive/unused to other dogs.

we call this move the "Pink/Stink Eye." cats have this one mastered, but nothing like a 50# + dog's asshole within inches of your face

good morning! today is quite cool but sunny so i'll be out in the garden, filling up the 2'x12'x2' bed that i finished on sunday. hoping to drag some logs out of the forest to get a good start on it, as i did the math on how much it would take to fill it all with soil...and i want to build 8 more...and frankly i want to be able to still buy groceries and pay the electric bill this year
yesterday i took a rigid heddle weaving class. made myself a simple scarf, and now i want to buy a loom. anyone else get waaaay too into new hobbies?
...maybe i'm asking the wrong crowd here. LOL

That's my AVL A Series 24H Compu-Dobby with air shuttle and lift. I have an 8 harness Glimakra countermarche next to her. I have an 8 harness Baby Wolf, an 8 harness Mountain Lobby (samples) and an older Schacht Inkle loom I could go on. I use the 24H CD mostly for finer fabrics and the Glimakra for rugs, towels and the like. For awhile I made reproduction textiles for the studios out here. Is there anything in particular you were curious weaving?
