I roasted a 14# turkey yesterday for the wife and I... We tore it up too and I think between the tryptophan and cookies made a few hours of my life foggy , like life suddenly went missing... Breakfast often fixes a lot of things though. Steel cut oats and yogurt is OK with me.
Damn she put a roofy in your turkey …. you got dinner raped.

I have not found a better way to cook chicken than a rotisserie. Just finished one and it’s amazing but didn’t snap any photos. But I did just finish up some chicken stock from the bones which is a first for me. It makes the whole house smell amazing! Gonna be doing a lot more of this.IMG_2444.jpeg

Looks delish.
Other ways that I might consider on par or equal to, the beer can rig on open coal is good and though it's wasteful (unless you did several birds) is the dreaded Reynolds oven bags - I generally use them for Ham and Turkey and I should have posted a pic of the one we tore up earlier this week but it was super tender and I didn't poke holes in the bag, kinda like a pressure cooker without the size limit! I guarantee if you put three chickens in one with your choice of herbs and spices and a little water, you'll be UNABLE to lift anything with bones in it; out of the bag because it's beyond falling apart and once you pick the meat, you can simmer the whole thing more if you like or add more water so your broth is ready to store.
I like 325°F for an hour and a half, and another two at 250°F with a 15-30 minute rest before going off the diving board, and I'm really tempted to get some turkey soup veggies around...
However, I'd suggest trying the bags soon!

Home made chicken broth is the whip for real chicken soup!
OH my goodness - OH my soul!
I think chicken soup is like rock and roll!
Gotta have it.
 :D

Breakfast Sami on a Bami!!!
2 fried eggs, cheese, sliced up sausage links, and a delicious hot sauce all on a fresh (yesterday) baked bami from our favorite little Vietnamese place in Winterhaven, FL. They sell the loaves for $.85 each so we snagged a bag full of em yesterday and man, am I glad we did. It was just as good this morning as it was yesterday. Now I just need to find a recipe for it. The hot sauce is the same stuff they use at the restaurant. When we asked about it 2 years ago, he went and grabbed a bottle of it to show us and made memtake pictures so I could find the same one. He actually offered to buy me a few bottles when they made their trip to Tampa later that week for their big supply run, but we weren't going to be back in the area. Luckily I found 6 packs of it on Amazon for about $4 a bottle. Probably like $13 Canadian. Lol

Dauphinoise potatoes a la Sativied. Potatoes came out perfectly, done but not mushy.
