I have always been proudest of all of my cats. In that time when we both stitched like rabbits, I cross stitched 16 patterns of a bunch of breeds of cats - Burmese, Abyssinian, Siamese, Russian Blue - and gave them away as gifts. My sisters were also moving out and they needed pictures for their bare walls. These patterns were great in an 11 x 14 frame with a border.

But I kept the Maine Coone for myself:

That's some lovely work! Thank you for sharing it. Do you work in the hoop, frame or hand? I was taught in hand but on large projects I use a frame these days.

Glad I don't have to harvest for another 2 weeks, but trimming should be more tolerable from now on...

Just a heads up, those blades are ridiculously sharp. Be very careful and vigilant while handling them. They do NOT fuck around.

Happy Hump Daaaayyyy!!!!

Maternity ward is back under control. The BBCC mom was flat out unruly. She got a serious hair cut and thinning out. Cinderella Purple also got cleaned up a bit. GG4 cuttings still haven't rooted, but they are happy it seems.

Veg Tent is chock full of GG4. this stuff is like a toddler hopped up on mountain dew and candy cigarettes!!! Ready to get it into the flower tent. I did switch the timer to 12/12 this morning though.

For wee little 3 or 4 square inch patterns, like a book of patterns we have for small Christmas Tree ornaments, I can do those by hand.

But for a pattern with any kind of size, I've used the hoop since Day 1. Mrs. S. found the hoop to be the most comfortable for her so the natural progression meant that I was going to learn to stitch with the hoop. I find the hoop easy to work with now as well.

We especially like it after we've used the hoop for a couple of large patterns. That's when the edges start to get nicely smoothed out from handling it so much. The hoop really fits like a glove at that point.

The VEG area looks like shit as the ladies start to extend beyond the bucket perimeter - but it all works out in the end. Once I hit Week 5 in BLOOM and they get their major lollipopping, that is when one realizes that this shitty looking stage is well worth it.
