The best thing you can get before you start is a lot of research.I’m just getting into growing what should I get. Need a cost effective solution

I’m talkiCheapest way is to plant a seed and nurture it. If it dies, plant another and try again. As my dad used to say "you will get it right if you are willing to do it again."
or is that too cheap?
Thank you so much!!, I just bought a 2x2x4 grow tent what kinda ppm/ph tester do you recommend1st thing is to get a PPM/PH tester, then good seeds.
Never plant just one seed, because you will have a good chance not all will sprout or be healthy.
For 1 plant germ 3.
If all are successful, cool, you have more plants.
If you have failures, at least you should have one good plant.
And hang around here and keep asking questions and you'll do fine.
Good luck.

I'd look at a different light for a full grow. You'd be better off with something like the Mars Hydro or something like it.Thank you so much
