The CDLC is just an all around great strain. The Chem traits are very satisfying. It's a great medical as well as recreational cultivar. I've got 1 that I just transplanted as well as a Ripley's OG which is another great Indica dominant strain. That KS5000 is plenty of light for 6 autoflowers. I am on a tight budget and I've been running a Szhlux 400w Bar Style for 2 years. It's only got LM281B diodes, but, it has good light spread using 9 bars. I have regularly run 6 autos. Right now i have 6 3g pots of flowering autos plus a couple smaller pots with photo clones going under this light. You should have no problems. Just make sure you have a good fan. Good luck!
6 autos and clones at the same time is pretty impressive. do you run photos to flower between autos? i'm always curious about the kind of strategies people use with space and budget limitations. i definitely want to run photos eventually and doing both with the same light is interesting.

It’s pretty simple actually. If you have two tents (1 veg and 1 flower), throw a couple autos in the veg tent and let them go. Autos are way easier to grow great smoke vs the work required to find the pheno you want from a pack of 15 regular seeds.

It's easy to run 6 in 3 gallon pots. If I had 4 in 5 gallon buckets I would probably run 1 or 2 in 3 gallons squeezed in there. I dont have a huge space so i like to run what i can. The clones are from some Blueberry Hashplants I'm flowering in a 3x3 under my 2 old 100w Quantum Boards. I plan on getting a better light when i get the money. This light was only $129 with $20 off 2 years ago. 500w would be perfect in a 3x3 tent. I'm running the 400w light in an old shower that's basically 2x4 and I have run photos before there. I just vegged those photos in there. You can get away with less wattage running autos though because the DLI is still up there with 18-20 hrs of light.

ok this is great. you're really using the space you have. if i get another space or tent going for veg or clones i don't need too much to get going. thanks for posting your setup, it gives me some ideas already.

I agree with @s4cruiser on running a couple autos in your Veg space. I have done this and it gives you some smoke fast and wastes no space. I plan on doing that exact setup on my next run. I'll go ahead and start some photos in solo cups a couple weeks before the autos are done and get a jump on things. If I don't have the new light yet, I'll switch lighting at the flip. The great thing about growing cannabis is that there's no 1 way to do it. Have fun! It's a great hobby.

Does Mephisto have any "skunky" strains?
I had 1 freebie of Northern Cheese Haze x Livers BX1 that had a fairly skunky smell in the jar. TBH, I haven't had any auto strains that really had that down in the grunge funk like the old Skunk and Christmas Tree photos from years ago. Hell, I haven't had very many funky ass photos either in years. Mephisto has several strains with good 'Kush' flavor and I got a Fairy Cake last run that smelled like a Pine tree. But, the rest smelled like freaking candy like most newer strains I've grown. I wonder if breeders are purposefully toning down the funk on weed because of people wanting stealth grows. So many autos have weak smell. Dude if you find a good auto Skunk, let us know.

I keep waiting on Daz from Night Owl to do a collaboration with someone like Humboldt CSI. There are some old school strains from them that could use an auto version. Mitch and Tim at Mephisto should bust out an old school line. They just dropped a Purple Haze cross so they are messing with some old school genes. Let's start a write in ," We want the Funk" campaign. I'm gonna get on their Reddit page and put a bug in Phil's ear.

I'm not solely driven by potency. It's more that I have some health issues. Failing kidneys are painful and I've found stronger bud more effective for me. I also know that photos are always going to have higher thc. That being said I got a tcheck result on a strawberry banana auto from Fastbuds that was advertised as 27% I got a 19% reading. I'm not chasing stats. I'm still learning. I thought that was good smoke. My experience is with auto's because it's more in line with my lifestyle. I just was after opinions on Mephisto because I'm learning more that good genetics does actually make a difference and I now have access to a seedbank that stocks Mephisto and is actually willing to ship to me.
If you need potency buy a press and make 97%

If you don't feel like or have the quantity to press, you can wash your larfy stuff and trim with alcohol. No, it's not as 'clean' as pressing, but, I do this with my trim. A mediocre sized auto's trim usually gets me a couple grams of concentrate that is nice and strong. 1 little piece on a bowl of flower really helps my pain, anxiety and tension. I keep the stuff around ever since the wreck that about killed me. I will say though, that if you're looking for pain relief, Mephisto has some really good Indica strains to try. The Chem and OG Kush crosses really helped me. I grew some Sativa strains from them that really spun me out and kinda made things worse. I get ya on potency, but, the terpenes have alot to do with it. I've grown some Fast Buds gear but it wasn't nearly as consistent as Mephisto. I know when I order F7 beans, that they're going to be consistent. But, do your research and find some strains that work for you. Good luck! Oh BTW , Double Grape by Mephisto has tested over 30% from several growers. I haven't grown it but it's on the short list.

Mephisto has some good Indica dominant cultivars. 3 Bears OG, CDLC,Ripley's,MBAP are just faves from what ive ran. Double Grape and Forum Stomper are looking likely whenever I have money to order. I've heard both are stupid strong and produce well too. Great medical strains are my passion now and I'm always looking out for more. CDLC and MBAPx Iced N Baked got me through some rough times after the wreck. Anybody knows of another great one let us know. I'm running photos too now so I'm gonna have some thoughts as to a big difference in potency. I think alot of that comes down to phenos vs cultivars. I've had some autos that got me high as I've ever been. My issue vs the old school is taste/smell. I've not seen anything touch the old Skunk and NL#5 from my youth and they say that stuff wasn't even 20% thc. Terpenes need more scientific research.

If Mephisto has some gear that you like or interested in, you may also look into Night Owl genetics. Very similar, the two are quality breeders.

Re photos, I’m running some now too (first time actually…started with autos). I’ve got 3 ladies close to finish and 6 females getting flipped tonight. Making clones is so much fun and with photos there is time to fix mistakes BUT it takes way longer start to finish as opposed to autos. Learning is fun!

I can't wait to run some of Daz's gear. I've seen him on blogs like Dude Grows and he seems like a smart guy. He's taken some of Mitch and Tim's projects to another level. If he would do the freebie 5 pks like Mephisto then I'd already have ordered. But, I am a cheap ass and a freebie freak so......

Unfortunately, my autos are not as far along. But, they're steadily growing. Good thing I staggered the grow a bit. Else I'd have issues. Ripley's OG and CDLC on the right. Other stuff came from eylmmmgmmm. I almost can't say it ILGM. They're actually healthy, they're none alike the other. 2 on the left are 2 weeks behind the middle row and look 2 weeks ahead. 2 major Indica leaning, 1 sativa leaning and 1 straight hybrid. They were in a GG4 auto pack but it's a grab bag with them on autos. I guess such different phenos could work out alright. Better than nothing and I have a couple small photos that reek and are under a month till harvest.

I've grown a lot of autos from ILGM. Potency and yield has always been great. My only complaint has been pheno variations and that's only in differences in height. I just converted from DWC to RDWC and now can't raise or lower my buckets to compensate. I'm going to be trying some CDLC next grow and am hoping for more uniformity.
