I have decided I shall latibulate until Spring. I'm skipping Winter and enjoying my 80 degree grow rooms
Wife is making Blueberry Pancakes
Yes, we have Real Maple Syrup
I was going to make lemon blueberry scones. But I'm out of blueberries so I was going to substitute strawberries. Do you guys think lemon strawberry scones would work? Where's @Metasynth he'd know :eyesmoke:

If you freeze dry the strawberries first, you will thank me.

Mrs. S. despises when I walk around totally buck. But nobody can see me so I really I don't give a fuck.
Our teenager tells everyone her mom and I are going to run a dispensary - brothel when she moves out. Which actually dates back to a now 35 year old running joke. Being the oldest kid, when my mom started leaving me home with my siblings for her business trips, I had asked her to stop about 45 minutes out of town before getting home, give me a collect call, I'd decline, and know that I had 45 minutes to get the house cleaned up.

When prepaid calling cards became a thing in the early 90's she'd start calling instead of ditching a collect call, so I'd reply, "Cool, see you in 45, I'll have the drugs cleaned up and the hookers gone before you get home."

....and the joke stuck and has mutated and now my daughter tells everyone her parents are going to run an drug house- brothel depravity den once she moves out and stops forcing us to pretend to be upstanding adults.

Fresh strawberries work well in scones. Save me one, I’m headed past you next Saturday on my way up to Tahoe.

That would work too, but scones are already fairly dry. Often fruit is added to bring a little moisture back into the mix, where as any freeze dried fruit soaks up whatever moisture that IS there like a sponge.

But it would be delicious to use fresh strawberries, and add a couple tablespoons of freeze dried strawberry powder to the dough to tint them pink
