Nice looking grow there! :weed:
Ty ! Pretty excited , as my first one had its pitfalls , and I fell way short of my goal .
This time around I’m on the money with everything . Vpd,co2, ppfd- etc etc . I really hope to pull 8 ounces off 2-3 of these . Im pretty confident it can be done!

So after a disastrous week , I finally got the ladies to come back around slightly . They were having issues with the autopots not providing enough nutrition to the root mass - so I had to top water once to rejuvenate them as they looked extremely sad . I raised ppm heavily also , which is a big on the high side but the plants responded well. Unfortunately my thermoforge heater crapped out ,so for 8 days my temps have been lower than I prefer , which has slowed growth down but not a whole lot . Anyways here’s some pictures . The acid snow is all in pre flower - with the 1 gallons all in flower for sure .

can’t wait to see what these boss battles end up yielding , as I am a big fan of skunky genetics , and this is supposed to be skunk/earthy/fuel terps !

anyone on the fence about trying speedrun or nightowl - do yourself a favor and place that order ! Black Friday deals are always some of the best times to buy seeds! They’re filling out nicely - and looking like the flower button is about to be pressed on the two big boss battles . If they double in size, I feel sorry for the rest of the group plants in my tent lol

Pic this morning . They’re rebounding nicely from the week of starvation . Looks like they’re gonna start flowering in the back as well “thankfully because if they double in size , the lights gonna sit on top of them “
has anyone ever experienced the light green / yellowing at the start of flowering as well ? It happens with every auto I’ve ever grown . Hundreds always do this , then a week or two in , they get dark green again and start pumping out beautiful buds .

I’m wondering if it’s all in the way I’m growing them , or if it is a common occurrence for most auto growers .

Short post - but they’re stretching hard , and starting to flower . Seems they want to be on the 85-90 degree range with very low humidity to stay happy ,I’m assuming because of all the co2 ? In any event I’m pretty confident I’m gonna blow past my previous yield , with the back 2 plants alone . I’ll post again in a few days . Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend ! IMG_0001.jpeg

What size tent is that? Very happy plants there, those back two look like they’ll pull 10oz+ each with amount of tops/budsites

Did some major defoliating today .. they needed it badly / I also removed the tray with the 3 autos in the center - and staggered the plants - to allow more room for the larger 2 .
The 3 in the tray are now going to be “window weed “

Hopefully they’ll finish up no problem and provide some testers . The boss battle are already looking very frosty and smelling amazing - im extremely excited for this grow - i

wish I had ran four boss battle - the acid snow stayed relatively short and super dense bushes , but they yielded good last grow being even shorter so not terribly worried . IMG_0062.jpegIMG_0063.jpegIMG_0065.jpeg

They’re exploding . I suoercripped and used plant trainers / and all the tall colas , are even with everything else but the inside shoots which shot 3-4 inches above in 36 hours

I have 23 inches between the light and the plants , so depending on how much stretch I see - I may be bending and cracking stems for while . IMG_0078.jpeg

I’ve been having to hand feed daily through the valve because something is plugged up . Once the reservoir is dry - I’m gonna give 10-12 hours for the pots to dry up - remove the plants from my tent - and clean all the lines with bleach and water + compressed air . This has been my second issue , with the system . Both were my fault - I’m guessing I have a buildup in a T fitting . One pot works , the other 3 don’t .

Little update . I found out the hard way , to not use recharge in your reservoir … my system plugged 2x in the last week . Which is a chore to disassembly and clean the valves / lines with such large plants

The plants are doing amazing . They’re still getting a heavy dose of canna A and B , with ok 13/14 , silica , calmag , and roots exculerstor gold . I’m going to mix up a 1 gallon batch of recharge , into warm water - shaking vigorously , and will top water each plant 1-2x per day with a red solo cup - to keep myco content maximized .

I can’t get over how large these two boss battles got . The acid snow are fed the same mixture , given the same light and environment - but it really can’t keep up . Poor little ladies

I’m in the 2.1EC range now , so without the ppm of my tap water taken into consideration - I believe that’s 11-1200 ppm .. everything is going well , aside from lack of space . Idk what I would’ve done , with 4 of this one strain

I thinned out all 4 boss battles, including in the tray - that now reside in my window sill .
If you’re not a fan of autoflowers , you should still drop in.
In a month I’m gonna be running some very high end clones - breeders cuts . I haven’t decided yet whether to run , cap junky “capulator X seed junky genetics collab , white truffle , or lemon cherry gelato - or maybe one of each ? As the plan is to grow in living soil in autopots with just ph water in my reservoir

On a side note , the rear right plant is an acid snow - the top leaves - is that light bleaching ?

Been a minute . Had to tear my system down . I used growers choice recharge , in my reservoir . Nope never ever again I had 1/4 inch of scale in my reservoir - the lines were even scaled up . I tore everything down - I even had to use sand paper to remove the scaling on my reservoir it was so bad ! .
While disassembling the autopot system , I broke the 4 way fitting on the last two - that has a drain/ shutoff off the back side. I had to go buy brass fittings and make a T , which deleted the shutoff - but it’s been working well since.
I’m now in the 1650-1700 ppm range , feeding canna a+b , calmag calmax , and some roots exculerator . As well as some recharge top fed “16 oz per plant daily “

my tent temps have dropped down to 75* and they’re absolutely loving it . Part of me wishes I had just grown one of these in my tent - as the rear left plant with training - could’ve filled the canopy .

my acid snow are so shaded , I’m only gonna have a few nice buds on each a the rest will be Larfy. The boss battles are all sporting 80-100+ colas though - and I’m kind of hoping I may be able to reach the coveted 1lb auto club - although this may be a “stretch”

this week I may have to remove my driver , and mount outside the tent - to gain some more light height . As you can see from the pictures - I don’t have a ton of room left , and they’re definitely still stretching their legs .

the last few pics are of some flower rosin I made . My goal is to make enough flower and live rosin , to build a solventless extraction lab , with a triminator t25 press , vacuum ovens , large washing machines - and a freeze dryer ! .

im yielding 6.67grams of rosin per ounce of flower - which is pretty good , considering I’m using 90u bags and most certainly losing to the bag .

Definitely one of the biggest auto runs I've seen in a while. Very nice thread and grow.
Thank you - the previous grow - I listened to way to much noise about how autos can’t handle the light / food of a photoperiod . Soon as I ditched that train of thought- they took off like wildfire . Another 3-4 weeks and they should be all but wrapped up . Ironically the description on the boss battle is skunky - right now it smells like Tropical fruit . I’ve ready it changes smells numerous times at different stages .

Thats a nice flower rosin yield, 24%. What strain was that? Auto? What size plates are your press and how did you press the flower? Just looks like a huge platen and maybe pillow tech or few bottle techs idk. Just curious, I had a big fail trying to press 37gs at once with a 7”x4” platen press. Love to see another user of flower rosin it dont get enough love lol.

It’s a sasquash V2 . I use 90U bags , this is outdoor , greasy runtz by exotic genetix - photoperiod .
It’s a 8” x 5.5 “ plate . I run two 2x4 bags side by side - with the press shimmed - so that it leans forward - that way my flow is all down into a channel on my parchment .
I make sure the flower is between 55-65% RH . I preheat them in the press at 160 for 1 minute- just enough to squish without any reading on the pressure gauge - I then increase my temp to 175 - and once I hit 168-170 , I up the pressure to 180-200 bar , wait a minute , then climb to 350 bar - once it start to run good - I up to 575 bar - which usually starts several large runs - down the paper . I never burn the rosin - it’s always light gold to honey’ish color - and it has insane terpenes - and ultra smooth .

I’ve been told by a few buddies who strictly smoke extracts , that it’s the best rosin they’ve ever smoked , outside of some live rosin - they got in cali for 80-100 a gram . Next week I have 150lb of fresh frozen flower , that I’ll be washing into bubble hash - and curing in a freeze dryer - then pressing to live rosin

Running into a new issue - my floor is too cold ..

my plants have been drooping for the last 2 days - it’s been anywhere from 5 below zero , to 10 degrees ,

my tent is in the 80s as usual - and the plants have been wicked wicked unhappy .. drooping leaves , and all around sad . Well I found the culprit - the nutrient solution in my autopot is 54 degrees . The root mass is cold - and not taking nutes like it was before .. I centered my ac infinity tent heater tube to the center of the tent - on the floor - to try to promote a warmer root zone . Only time will tell if it fixes it .

on a side note , I did some more thinning and defoliating - the acid snow are now swelling up nicely - albeit on the small side, thanks to the boss battle being entire house /light hogs , and basically starving out the two smaller acid snow .

the smell of this acid snow is unreal , and can’t wait to blaze it in 5 weeks give or take !

the acid snow has frosted up very nicely !!

Acid snow is really starting to pack on trichomes .. this plant smells so amazing . I grew one last grow , but it was underfed etc , and the aroma from this plant just absolutely blows the last pheno out of the water . The last pheno , in the last two pictures - is by far the frostiest . I’ve been thinning the plants out here and there all day .. time to wrap presents for the kiddos and get some sleep

merry Christmas everyone !!
I’m sure I’ll be back with an update in a few days
