Ortega from FDM, 1 week 3 days into stretch.

Lst'd to even out the canopy. At 2 weeks it will get a light defoliation.

In living soil.

I cannot place the stem rub at all. The nearest I can get is like you haven't emptied your kitchen pedal bin. Lightly fermented trash. That's a new one on me.

Growing throws up some baffling situation.
For ages I've seen yellowing in random plants I've never been able to work out, I've tried ec up/down, ph, calcium and magnesium individually and calmag (not together) but nothing ever fixed it, it always just goes away itself.

So after seeing gnats I thought well maybe?
Then after bagging them they started to clear up and looked fine again i was jamming lol.

A pic after trimming them back last week.

And a day or two later.

Then this morning lol

Now I'm sure it has to be related to trimming and/or defoliation but I can't see how?

Jfc I'd left them untrimmed to clone a few and all was good.

After cloning I trimmedd them back and they're yellowing again, any ideas or suggestions what I'm overlooking?
You might remember me going on about random plants yellowing?

They all get the same care daily ± there's favoritism ;-)

How can that be?
It doesn't make sense I can't get my head around it it's been happening since way back.

What soil are you in / size of pot? (I do like those 'clone bag' things mind).

It could be pheno/strain dependant but some look like a lot of plant for the volume of soil?

Hey bud its coco and canna ab I'm using for vegging, the odd thing is it appears randomly in different plants and strains there's no pattern, ryme or reason I can find?

I hear what you're saying about the pot volume and I agree but I tend to think they should all be affected the same?

Jfc I'm starting to think it is related to the pot/plant/root ball size I think I've ruled out everthing else?

Then again check this out it has about half the coco of some.

You can see I've folded the pouch down its not inside the tub.

It's mystery lol?

Nutritional preferences and that one likes it less and wants it less or more or even just wants a bigger pot with more dirt is my guess maybe bro or maybe the soil or Coco is more compacted Vs the others and staying more moist than it likes I'm kinda thinking out loud tbh bud who knows lol

Jesus man. Take care!! Apparently could be one of the deepest low pressures to hit the UK.

Im getting a bit paranoid my roof is gonna fly off and blow my weed all around the village lol
Nah i ain't worried it's just a wee bit of wind man I seen worse cheers tho man I appreciate it climbing hills and mountains from young and working on roofs in windy conditions tends to make you fear less and respect more if that makes sense

I'd never seen devastation from gales in my life untill 2021/22 when the central belt got it bad, a wood I used to park in fishing related was completely flattened, the surrounding pine forests had the tops of the trees broken or uprooted it was an apocalyptic sight.

Oh shit the lights are dimming I sure af can't afford a power cut i don't want to think about the smell pouring out the tent not to mention the humidity.

Have a good weekend folk's

Wee question. Does gently lowering the hours to 12-12 reduce the stretch much instead of just flipping say 20-4 to 12-12?
Cannabis plants stretch due to low light levels and wavelenth of light.
The more dark hours you have the more stretch you get, also the redder the light spectrum the more stretch you get.

If you veg plants under 24 hours of 6400k CFL or a HID Metal Halide with no dark period you'll get the shortest and bushiest plants possible.
If you then flip stright to 12/12 with HPS bulbs you'll get a good amount of stretch due to the 12 hours of dark AND the redder spectrum of the HPS compounds it even further.

To mitigate stretch you can either...
1) Influence the amount of light hours.
1) Influence the wavelength of light.
3) Influence BOTH.

I personally veg from seed/clone with a 6400k CFL under 24hours of light with no dark period until they're ready to go under full veg light in bigger pots.
Then when they're ready to go into veg properly I veg under MH bulbs 18/6 light/dark hours as normal, the MH wavelength keeps stretch in veg as low as it can be without more light hours.
Then when they're ready to be flipped into 12/12 for flowering I will keep them under the MH bulbs for the first 2 weeks of 12/12 to mitigate that big first burst of stretch going into 12/12.
After that first 2 weeks burst into flower when the're now just starting to form buds I'll swap out the MH bulbs for HPS and carry on flowering 12/12 under HPS as normal.

It's how you get lanky plants like Exodus Cheese to stay short and pull fat single colas like this...
