SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

Alright guys. Sorry for posting so many boring veg pics, but I'm excited about this run. This will be the "best genetics", I've grown so far. Besides, I won't do a journal anymore, because every time I do, I have bad luck. Lol

I top dressed 5 tbsp of flower girl, about 9 solo cups of ffof, watered in with recharge, put the new cover on, and flipped.

Fun fact.... this cover doesn't make anything easier, at least not with 2 plants. The shower cap is probably a lil easier, but they're just so damn fragile.

I’m curious to see how the two plants per do per sip. I’d imagine if they’re all cuttings they may not compete as much as different phenos might. Idk just a theory tho
Looks clean tho man great job so far!!

Yea i had 2 last grow. Crap genetics. It was going good until late flower. I believe i made the mistake of not checking the top of the soil. Turns out it was getting dry. As I was adding more ffof and flower girl, i don't think I was packing it down enough. You really need to make sure it all stays packed down, and moist. I feel like it accelerates break down.
From now on, I'll be checking the top daily for moisture content.

Also you can't let them get too big.

Ive been lucky, not 1 yellow leaf so far. Looking at the plants though, something tells me, that the ffof has a lot of nitrogen. I wonder if top dressing with ffhf, after stretch would be better? Any thoughts guys?

Theyre definitely stretching, but I'm still having difficulty determining sex. :wall:

Added some side lighting also. I wanna see if it makes any difference.

I’d keep doing what you’re doing with top dressing. Why fuck with a good thing? It’s gonna need that N to produce them fat flowers or fat balls ig since your not sure of sex lol

Well, as much as I like the plants being green as possible, I'm pretty sure too much nitrogen thru mid - late flower, causes more leaf growth, than calyx growth, but I'm not sure where that line is.

Gotcha and totally understand. Doesn’t living soil work a little differently than that tho since there are many macro/micros that are feeding the plant based off need rather than just available like in hydro? Asking for a friend

I mean, I like to believe that, but since using ffof,I see really dark green leaves. I dont know if it's because it's being force fed, or if the plant is just taking up that much. I dont see much clawing on the dark leaves though.
