Well I have been reading on rollitup for some time now but corn came across my mind
Then I studied it just like I do marijuana but one acre of corn yields around 148 bushels
And the pay out for each individual bushel is worth around 4.15 so that mean an acre of corn is worth 4.15 x 148 = 614.20 now to me that don’t have shit on one pound of marijuana but I don’t want to be running all of my life with this number one cash crop so ill deal with number two lol

I currently live in Alabama and the land I think is very cheap
I’ve seen 40 acres for 70,000 so now do the math if that is all corn
148 bushels x 40 acres = 5920 bushels x $4.15 = 24,568usd/money

Now that is what I don’t mind doing and I see how the government wants you
To fight it out but who says you cant have or sell some green gold on the side to
Stay ahead of the game lol but I plan on growing corn, soybeans, hey, and cotton within the next five years peace

What about the price of maintaining the land. Processing the corn and stuff. Fertilisers. Machinery. Especially with large land all of this will most probs add up to a hefty sum. Farming certaintly isint easy. Especially with massive compition from the big corporate scum who take over masses of land. But if its pulled off well, its common knowledge thats it pays well.

I dont think there is huge money to be made in Farming for the little guy anymore.
The only way I can see it working is if it is 100 percent organic. That means getting someone out to test your soil for impurities and to make sure there has been no fertilizers added in the last 10 years. Its 10 years over here dont know about the states.

Work by crop rotation and bring your product to a local organic farmers market. \that way you can charge a lot more for your product nd your cutting out the middle man.
It would be great. And I do believe there are people on here already living your dream. Maybe give them a pm and have a chat??

Theres one guy here but I cant find him right now. will let you know if i com across him.

I have lived and worked on farms all of my life. With the lose of family farms in America at it's highest and still growing, why. Why put yourself through a loosing battle. The start up costs will kill you. Then if you do get started, you will not be able to compete with the big company owned
farms.
Ask me how i know.
Start a small truck farm raising vegtables for sale at the locale market. You will be able to make a living,if nothing else, be able to feed your family.OPH

You can plant corn over corn for years, but when you bring beans into it, you need to rotate. Soybeans can't grow near anyplace that has lights on at night (parking lots, airports, etc.) they need the dark part of the photperiod to grow properly. Bean growers around here use lime on their fields, I swear that shit burns my nose hairs, ouch !!!

Do you plan to drill your beans, or plant in rows where you have to hire walkers?

Are you growing feed corn, seed corn, food corn? Will you need to detassel?

Farm weed indoors, grow a huge garden outdoors, is that not enough to satisfy you until growing hemp is legal?

Big Government pays farmers to NOT plant on their land.

They do this so the big corporation farms do not have any competition.

so what you are saying
if i was to buy 200 acres and they find out that i am planting corn, soybean, cane, and cotton, they will tell me to stop and they will pay me not to do it

The Roloff's are pretty nice people, been there several times.
If you're a munchkin growing pumpkins farming works.
