Thanks for the photo, but it seems a bit misleading according to what was an accepted practice at OG - cutting thru a node in order to get branching just below that cut from the nodal tissue remaining.
This is very similiar to my method of topping to get 4 new main colas, just one node too much here, plus there is no need to cut thru the leaves. Don't know what that is all about. That diagram is a perfect example of someone that doesn't understand plant responses as my friends who were successful at "fimming" usually had about 6 to 8 outputs at the cut. Having said that, fimming is not reliable nor necessarily predictable regarding the plant's response, IF, there is even a consensus on how it's done in the first place.
