Single cola

Say someone wants only SHORT single cola plants.

What is the best method for that?

Cut clones and 12/12 them? Chop the cola on the mother plant and clone that?

I got nothing to post

There is only about 18" total from the bottom of the pot to the lights and a little over 2'x2'.

This is for planning purposes - a buddy said 12/12 from seed and the plant will grow to the area but wont it will outgrow the area within weeks? Would prefer 12 mini colas to 1 plant though. Especially if a perpetual grow like I have seen others do.

Seen people grow the "mini colas" but no idea how they do it.

so do you want 12 mini colas on a plant or 1 single cola?

if you want a single cola then yes 12/12 from seed may work, i have seen them develop a single cola this way, plant height 19". you really cant be vegging with your grow height, and go for an indica. oh you can also top a single cola on a 12/12 from seed to get 2 main colas.....

Flower when plants are 8" or less and you get your "mostly" single cola plants. Trim off a few lower branches and you're done.

I wouldn't flower from seed... but definately choose an indica dom strain... I'd let it grow to about 5"-6" then flower it it will grow one main cola and unless you top it it wont branch out to bad (on sativa yes, indica no)

So as long as they get 12/12 from early they will single cola?

If the offshoots are cloned and 12/12 will those cola as well?

I want mini colas. More = better

im flowering my banana kush that is 5" right now. Its on day 11 and so far there is one big cluster of hairs on the very top and about 4 smaller ones all around the bottom.

you can definatly 12/12 from seed and that will give you 1ft plants. Its all about how you train your plant. topping, FIMing, LST...they all do different things.

Cut off the lower/older growth and the plant will focus on the top cola ;)

Ill post a picture of my plant tonight when the lights come on
