whats the best way to clean out a glass jar

ok i have a few glass jars that once were used to hold pasta sause , ive had alcohol in it for a few days now but the smell is still ther wen i take the alcohol out, dose anyone kno a better way to clean it so it wont have that smell any more? i dont want my buds to end up smelling like this thanks.

the jars should be fine after a good soaking. its the lid that is going to smell. soak the lids and let them dry. do it a couple of times then just let the lids air out. just takes time for the smell to go away.

soak overnight in water w/ 1/2 a cap full of bleach... or your probably smelling the rubber seal on the lid... happens when i use pickle jars, i'll have weed that smells like pickles... the smell will eventually go away with time too.

oh ok cool cool, i just been using alcohol, i also put it on the lid and i let it soak all night the jar and the lid, and still smells, i never thought about using bleach thanks

you could just go to the store and get some canning jars. might not beable to find them till this fall.

Because we dont want bud smelling like pasta. Thats why, if your concerned about recycling give the jar to someone that will use it too cook with. Or use it to hold something else, if it was like i got dirt in my jar how do i clean it. Throw it in the dishwasher. Then bam do that.

Seriously, I was just hopping on the mob mentality cause its fun. In school if I asked a question that was wrong the nuns would break out the rulers and break them over your neck, once your knuckles were bloody.

My suggestion was smell isn't gunna go away if youve cleaned it 10 times already its not goin away anytime soon. So go to walmart bring your Jar, swap it with one there if you wanna save the world by not wasting.

Really though, wasting electricity on a dishwasher 2 or 3 times, and polluting the ocean with excess soap, or spending the money on alcohol to clean it, is that much better than just recycling the jar and spending the $5?
And from what I've heard, 12 is more than 1.
