3 weeks flowering and still growing tall

my x thai skunk plant has been flwering for 3 weeks under a 200watt envirolite and an 18watt fluorecent. the plant is producing loads of bud sites but there is no bud growing on the top of the plant, instead it is still producing leaves and growing tall with no bud growing here.
wats going on? there may be a chance that there is little light pollution during the fist few hours it is sleeping and just before it wakes up.

Your plants always grow about 50% more during the first 3/5 weeks of flowering this is normal. The tops will get flowers just give em time.

They need ABSOLUTE dark. ANY light interrupting the photo-period is risking your plants going hermie.

now how many growers actually got hermie plant from light leaks. i have not and have leaked. now im just curious as to why when growing outdoors that plant is not totally in the dark. you can see the plant and your hand when you wave it in front of your face, so i think this light leak don't make no sense.

i didnt say dick about hermes the grower stated he had a few hrs of light pollution ...

It's easier to get hermies indoors I think. Outside is a REAL environment, inside we stimulate the best environment we can. When flowering is interrupted by light during the dark cycle, it will keep growing instead of flowering, and it increases the chance of going hermie.

cool thanks just was.nt sure. like i said my widows are not coverd because i also use what natural light that comes into the room also. my light goes of at 6 pm and i still have daylight for about 45 min. so then your saying that light leaks MAY cause hermi.

just read this thread and i must say this is the most upsetting post,,,,,

DO NOT TOP DURING FLOWER.... IT WILL HURT..... if anything tie it down if you top it you will extend flower time and reduce yeild and is unecissary stress never cut anything during flower


as for the rest of the bullshit in this one yes you can stress a plant into being intersexed by having light leaks, a plant is more sensative to light at difrnt stages of flower but you can stress, extend flower, and grow nuts from it

45 minuts of low light at lights out isn't gonna do it its when you have compleat darkness and the light is interupted that will screw ya

they say if you can see you hand its not dark enough. but as you can see i roll the way i roll iguess. lol every grower is different. do not top in flower.

Mr Green says to TOP your plants in the 2nd week of FLOWERING that way you get two lrg main kolas not one. you worry to much about stress and yes i had my last grow HERM so i know alittle about the subject. there is a thing known as brusing where you pinch the plant hard on the main stem. ive seen it done in a figure 8 with no stress. Have you ever been out side during full moon? lots of light huh. still no problems with outside grows? sativas fucking grow tall. bend , bruise, top, lay the plant on its side. htere is a chemical you can use to stop vertical growth but i dont recommend it. if you dont know mr green that hit up youtube.com and get your learn on....bitches

just because mr green did it does not make it right. train your plant correctly during veg... you will get more out of it that way.... do not cut anything during flower... its whats best for the plant... that mr green video is so old...
