Well, I'm not sure what you're disagring with, Max.
1. I said that police brutality is rare.
2. That cops who step over the line should be prosecuted.
As of this date, I cannot believe that the police are the enemy of the people, unless you are talking about the BATF under the Clintoon administration.
BATF = Burn All Toddlers First.

I have quite a few really good friends who are police officers. They use brutality all the time, I hear about all the stories of their abuse of power. The reason it is rare is because not enough people walk around with video cameras taping every arrest.
The police are here to protect and serve, but in their mind they are here to rule and powertrip. I rarely ever see a policeman prevent a crime, its always after the fact, when they can do little to affect the situation.
Hopefully that one officer who did the punching loses his job, gets sued for all he is worth and spends a little time in prison.
If you collect all the brutality videos collected in one year of Police abuse of Power, it would boggle your mind just how rampant the problem really is.
In My state there was a black fella who got pulled over for a simple speeding offense. The patrolman saw fit to make this young man stand outside his car in 40 below zero weather. When the young man complained that he was getting cold the officer replied that he would arrest the young man for non compliance if he got back in the car to warm up. End result that young black man lost his ears to frost bite. The officer is still patrolling our highways. Something very wrong happening in this country, not just economically.
