It says 2 drops per gallon, then check pH before adding more.

Nice man, the 250 test kit was like $9.99 at petco, comes with ph up and ph down (500 drops per bottle of all 3)

I think I'm just going to start putting 4 drops in every gallon I buy right when I get it.

Hey guys, just noticed my humidity in my grow closet is like 20%. Will that affect my plants? What should it be?

I've got a temp at 75 and humid at 65%. And I also was wondering how I was fairing? Fan blowing 24/7 on low, Milwuakee Ph meter read at 5.6 ph(ebay 56.00). Petco temp/humid meters for 11.99. And I added two 26w=130w Reptisun 10.0 UVB compact fluorescent lamp(2x29.99) for lizards and set them in 10 inch, wide range, clamp lamps(2x10.99) for additional lighting. With AG in center, Lights hitting from both left and right. I'm thinking this could be the right set up?

I dropped a frozen waffle on the floor last night, and since it was the last one I brushed it off and popped it in the toaster, but I think I'm getting sick now, and my plants are too. =[

I have some brownish spots coming up on the very tip of my leaves, going to wait it out for a day or too and see if it gets better. will post some pics later today.

Its either magnesium deficiency or something related to the pH change.

Hey Guys... I've been reading through all of your threads for the past few weeks anf finally started my own AG set-up. I already germed the seeds and I just transplanted them to the AG. I snapped of the hood so I could keep it close to the seedlings (pods). Here are my questions:
1. Should I have the domes on? If so, for how long?
2. How close to the pods should I lower the hood? I hear 3inches at all times is good...I have the feeling I might have them too close... Let me know what you guys think.

Here's a pic of my set-up:bigjoint:
The height looks good for the lights. You should keep the domes over the seedlings until the leaves are starting to touch the top or sides of the domes. Check out the pics that demonstrate this in the AG Manual.

I'd suggest moving the two plants as far apart from each other as possible. Maybe put them in the two front side holes or something. You'll wish you had more room for them to grow when they're bigger.

Keep the domes on until the seeds have sprouted green leaves, then its fine to take it off, they are mainly for germination.

3 inches is a reasonable distance for cfl lights.

Also, make sure to check out the aerogarden guide in my sig, answers alot of general questions.

Just I thought I'd show you all my girls at Week 5.5! I think I'll start flowering next weekend. Not starting on the 15th, but on the 22. It's amazing how well the Miracle-Gro Singles have helped it. I know everyone says not to use Miracle-Gro but it worked like a wonder for me. I used 1/4 package to 1 gallon of water. I think I could probably use 1/3 package to 1 gallon.

My next post I'm going to post some progression pics.

All the other bottles are my clones from each of my girls. I just replanted them into 16 oz Red Solo Cups. Here are a couple pics of them.

The AqauFina bottle is a long story, basically it's supposed to be a DIY CO2 Generator. Look it up if you don't know what it is. It's too long to explain and it doesn't work anyway.

Regarding the 2 CFL's for the sides. I think it's great you've got them already but I'd leave them off until your girls are about 2-3 weeks old, and then make sure you check on them often to make sure they aren't getting stressed from excessive heat. I used mine pretty early on but not right at the beginning.

Not different strands. . . each one corresponds to each of my plants in the AG - ie. A1 & A2, B1 & B2, etc.
