You deserve to go to jail!

You break into someones home, destroy it, and then steal from the people - you definitely should be in jail.
It is folks like you that the police and anti-marijuana advocates hold up in our faces to demonstrate why Marijuana is bad.

Your actions hurt every smoker who acts responsibly. What if was your Mom's house that got broken in to? - bet you would be pissed as hell.
Causation <>(does not equal) correlation. K thks.

That means don't cite stupid marijuana users for ALL marijuana users. The problem is stupidity. Not marijuana.

really its not like you did some horrible crime but it was stupid and you will get some type of charges for it most likely criminal and ca$h for court fees and public defender/lawyer whatever the fuck and shit like that so just pay your 2500$.maybe if your going to do anything you should threaten the dumb fuckers who got caught and snitched to pay your part of the extortion money.(especially because the way u tell the story you didnt gain anything from this and they probably did if they got a fucking quad)

Where in the hell am I?

Well, you deserve to go to jail if marijuana is illegal where you are if you smoke or grow or sell or have anything to do w/it, on that note! Ya cant pick and choose what laws are ok to follow, and if you are condemning a person fer not being a law abiding citizen, then I hope yer blinker is always on, ya never speed and ya wait til ppl are completely out of the crosswalk:hump:

I don't think he should go to jail...I do think he should pay for the fun he had at someone elses expense though. He got caught, he first says the place was unlocked and then says he broke a lock....He needs to man up and pay the man his money and go about his business as lesson learned....live and learn...or whatever. That being said, I can't say I blame them...An unlocked quad!!! I would of been running that thing all over the place too when I was 17. But, the destruction of property...nah, I don't like that. Just pay the man.

That depends if he actually committed the vandalism.

Surely you don't charge all the viewers of COPS with aiding and abetting... why should an on-looker be any different?

He said on the first page he broke a window, latch, and a hole in the wall....so he did the vandalism...What he didn't do was take the ATV home. He did however vandalize that place as he said...

the difference is an onlooker who was not a part of it at all or an onlooker that only was part of half of the crimes.....if he was there while someone else smashed some shit up then as gay as it sounds he could have put a stop to it but in all honesty I doubt he didn't take part.

If I was in that situation when I was 17 I would have probably done the same damn thing or worse.

He stated 'we' not 'I'.
Yes he did, and 'we' means 'he' did participate in vandalizing someones property. Someone he did not know, someone that probably works 50 to 60 hours a week so he can take his family in the woods in their trailer on the weekends, someone like me....He did participate, he did get caught, and he should pay.

Unless one of the other persons involved confesses to being the 'ring leader'... your point is valid. It'll likely be split evenly without regard to individualism.

they will pay restitution---but sounds like the guy is asking for way more than what damage was done---way more.

man maybe you should post your personal legal problems that are unrelated to cannabis on some other forum. there are legal advice forums out there.

DO NOT TELL THE POLICE ANYTHING, DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSE, DENY IT ALL!!

also be sure your mommy understands to not tell them anything or let them in her house or invite them in.

oh and maybe you should be careful what you post on the net about your legal issues.
in the future dont break into peoples shit and damage it and help steal from them. i know we do stupid shit when we are young, some things i will never tell anyone.
good luck.

To avoid a possible felony charge, you are going to pay....I think 2500 is reasonable. He will pay more than that in lawyers and restitution and they will make him do classes and community service hours. And who knows what they did to that place, it could be justifiable but even if its not, it will be cheaper than letting the courts get involved.

Not necessarily. If he wins... his lawyer's fees would be covered by counter-suit and the owner would be liable.

i agree with you 100%. I DID vandalize property. i broke a window(I should and will pay). I broke a lock(To somthing else NOT the traler Witch was left open not locked and i WILL pay for the lock)I punched a whole in the wall(AGain i WILL pay for that). But, That being said how the hell does this guy get 7.5k. if he said "Hey you broke shit that i owned and i want restitution for what you broke" i would say Ok you caught me ill pay, but him saying I want 7.5k to not go to court? seems a little shity.
