So i went and got some Go Gnats, which is mostly made up of cedar and is supposed to drive the fuckers off.

I also got a ph test kit and some ph up, so i can correct my Ph issue.

Wink, i have 7 of the 16 seeds i germed that have popped already! Plus, I found some bagseed in some chronic i got. I saved a couple for Wink and germed the other two. One popped already and has been planted.

I got some FoxFarm Ocean Forest and Light Warrior. I plan to cut the OF with the LW at a ratio of 2 parts OF to 1 part LW. This soil will be used for the barbwire courtesy of Wink! I also went out and spent $60 on supplies to setup my Veg room! I plan to keep two seperate rooms goin at all times. I will veg my plants for about a month once they pop up from the dirt, then throw them in the flower room. I will use CFL's for veg and my HPS for flower. I am gonna finish this grow with my flower room setup for CFL's though.

Feedback?

I understand what you mean about the advice tapering off some, it seems like that over here too, with both me and my roommate. Its all good tho and everyone has been a HUGE help:clap:

Sux about your bugs! I've had them almost from day one. I have kept them under control, but can't get rid of them for nothin'. I got the yellow, sticky cards now and keep them right on top of the soil. They haven't seem to cause any damage but they definitely suck:wall:

Keep posted!!!!!
The gnats are out of control. My fan leaves are starting to turn purple, then drop off and die! So far only two have met such a fate, but others are starting to purple up!

So I am about to treat them with GOGnats and put some apple vinegar in to hopefully catch the adults. The gognats is supposed to kill the larvae. It is fucking retarded though! I am so pissed!

Thanks and welcome to my journal! I am thinking the chop date will be about a month or so, maybe more. My triachs are just starting to turn cloudy.

But, good news! I got a powerful, lab style microscope today with a 40X magnification so I will really be able to see the triachs once I get it up and running!

All 11 of the barbwire that germed have popped up from the dirt! Lots to do here!

I will send wink some pics this weekend sometime and hopefully he will have time to post them! Take care and grow big, mutter fuckers!

Hey der BigJesse! I am still a newbie as you know, but I really don't think that the gnats are causing the purple leaves. It could be a P deficiency, or depending on how close they are to harvest, they are simply mimicking their fall life cycle. Mine are changin' all sorts of purty colors. Like I said, I have had them damn pests right since the beginning and they are mostly just annoying. I know that they CAN damage a root system, but your girls are probly mature enough that they won't really harm anything. Just remember that they like the moisture, so let the soil dry good b4 watering, but not too much cuz that is when they will search out the roots for the moisture. Let me know how that GoGnats works, maybe I'll pick some up. I tried some 40.00/bottle cedar oil shit that didn't do a damn thing. They are tough little shits.:wall: Try not to stress too much and get some of those sticky cards so you can monitor the population, too. Keep up the good work and be sure to check in for my chop down day!

Ok so take a look at the pics of the big leaves that look all fucked up!

Last time I watered them i used 15 ml of Clearex per gallon and 5 ml of GoGnats per gallon. So, the plants either didnt like the amount of clearex, hated the GoGnats, or developed a nute def because of the flush.

Today, I watered them again with Cha Ching for the first time. I am entering the final 4 weeks i think so its time to pull it out!

As for the NJ Barbwire, I have 11 of them goin strong! The little 10 oz cups I have them growing in area working great! Because they are clear cups, I can see the roots really well! Some of them have roots all the way to the bottom of the cups after only 8 days!

I keep my veg room at about 78 degrees and the plants are getting light from 9x 23 watt 6500k CFL's 24/7!

I will take some pics of the roots and ask wink to post them sometime here.

As for my four flowering ladies, one has gone hermie. Plant 4. So I am thinking I should pull it. I dunno, it sucks what do you guys think will one hermie pollinate the shit outta the rest?

I chopped a little sample bud of #1. I dried it for 4 days and today put it in an airtight container. I am gonna cure it for a week or two as a test run. So, gimmie some advice/feedback mutter fuckers! :-)

Ok ... As for the barbwire it is a strong hearty fast grower but kinda slow flower but worth the wait!

The ugly leaves are totally normal a week after flush mine got ugly one at a time and fell off untill there was almost none left. Once they get really ugly and cant absorb light anymore pull them:) the girls go through all kinds of changes and they are not pretty at the end (except for the nugs:)) with the herm are you sure it was not polinated by a male you pulled late?? I pulled one late and it dusted a few of my lil bottom buds but didnt spread so maybe let it go?? If your sure it hermed by itself pull it to save the rest:(

Ok people good news! I now have regular, safe access to a computer!

I have a firewall up and a subnet mask. If these fuckers (LEO's) do happen to track me down at this computer, it isn't where I am growing! Given that I am not on the lease at my grow house and it is in an isolated location, I never get mail there, etc, etc.......I now believe there is almost no way at all to alert THE MUTTER FUCKIN MAN!!!

Plus, Wink, you don't have to waste time posting pics for me! Thanks for all your help bro! Check out my new avatar, its a pic of one of the main cola nugs off plant #1!

Ok people I have uploaded a ton of pics for your enjoyment. All you have to do is refer to the file name of the pic for a description of it. For instance, I have one pic called "plant #1 top." So, obviously, that means it is a top view of plant #1.

Flower Room

Just for a reminder...Plants 1 and 2 are the big girls that got the most light during veg and are about 50 days into flower or so, give or take. Plants 3 and 4 both are smaller because they didnt get much light. Plant #3 is all stretched to fuck, and plant #4 has gone hermie! But I want to keep her (him?) because this phenotype has the most crystals and the best smelling nugs! So if I get a few seeds, so be it. What are your guys' opinions about that?

How much longer does it look like I have to you? The gnat problem is still here. I think the Go Gnats pissed off my plants. Either that or I gave them too much Clearex, or they have a P or K deficiency. I am not sure what. Anyone wanna hazard a guess? Anyway, the gnats are managable.

I am thinking I have about another month or so. But not sure really at all. Gimmie some feedback and if you have questions hit me up!

Veg Room

So, I included shots of the new seedlings! They were planted on 2/25 and most of them sprouted the next day, but they were all up by 2/27. So they are a couple weeks old, give or take a day.

They dry out really fast. I have a bitch of a time keeping the humidity anywhere about 45%. That, combined with that fact that I have 24/0 light, small cups (thus little water retention) has caused some of the leaves to turn really brittle and crumble. Anyone have advice or thoughts on this?

I am getting some PHENOMENAL root growth though! The rootzone and humic acid and such in the Light Warrior has really paid off, combined with letting the little ones dry out in between waterings. Since the cups are clear, I can see everything! Check it out! I am also getting some green residue on the inside of the cups. I think this is good fungus or something, but I am not sure. Anyone know what it might be? Its really lush green color.

Random

Just for fun, I posted some pics of all my nutes. You can barely see the Clearex in the top right corner. Check out the root zone people, its great. I believe it can replace hugely expensive things like Taratula and Perahna (spelling). But, you be the judge. It's only $20 a bottle as compared to the others....great buy for me!

I also included a pic of the giant 2700K CFL in action, mounted next to a 23 watter for a side-by-side. These things are sweet. So, I now have a total of 823 actual watts of 2700K CFL going in the flower room. Crazy shit huh?

I only have 207 actual watts of 6500K CFL for the veg room. BUT, check this out...I ran into a Craiglist posting and this guy has TONS of CHEAP HID lighting! He is selling 150 watt metal halide ballasts and sockets for $25 and $30 for 250 watters! He is local and all the stuff is originally from construction sites I believe, but this could be great!!! I meet with him tomorrow!

WELL GIMMIE SOME LOVE PEOPLE!!!! :LEAF::LEAF::LEAF::LEAF:
