College Student shot by police for marijuana

They police didn't release too much information but I guess he was unarmed, and was studying at the time the cops broke in on a search warrant for reports that the place smelled like marijauna.

He was shot when he covered his hands from a bright flashlight.

They didn't find anything in his apartment that they could arrest him for.

This makes me genuinely sick to my stomach.

Dude, they know most potheads aren't violent, that's why they go after them instead of real criminals.

actually i love how legally speaking, ignorance is not an excuse and yet cops are often get way from things because they "couldn't have known".

Last week I was coming home from home depot minding my own business and I got pulled over one day by the SAME cop that gave me a DWI last year.. He recognized my car so he pulled me over, kept me for 30 minutes trying to find some kind of dirt, then gave me a warning for 'no signal for lane change''. There were NO cars around, me and him on the side of the road, I got over to get in left turn lane at a light.

I am sadly not surprised by this. Anyone who doesn't know, we currently live in a Police State. In my area a 14 year old kid was computer cracking for education and entertainment. He wasn't stealing money, he wasn't stealing and selling business plans, all he was doing was cracking systems and learning how they worked.

The FBI, Secret Service, and local police sent 25 SWAT cops in after the kid. He was ... um 14 years old living with his single mother in a 2 bedroom apartment. The cops shot the family pet (a Cocker Spaniel) yanked the mother out of the shower and had her face first and naked on her bathroom floor, and finally kicked in the kids bedroom door and beat the shit out of him before finally cuffing him. Not a single weapon in the house, not a single drug in the house, just a modest single income family with next to nothing. Was all this needed for a 14 year old kid who is a math genius and brilliant problem solver? I for on think the meat head cops were jealous of the fact that the kid had a good future and could get a damned good job with his brains.

Passive pot smokers, 10 year olds in elementary schools, smart mouthed college kids, and passive hippy pot growers are aparently the most violent criminals in the world why else would they Taze, swat, raid, and beat the hell out of them. America come on vacation leave on probation.
