8x4 1200w OG Kush (1st timer)

acording to the pic you start counting weeks when the flowers look like the first image..counting from 12/12 it was like 13 weeks for me so i dont think you start counting when you first switch the lights or your gonna be mad in 7 more weeks ..after the last grow i am starting counting weeks when the majority of the plant is covered in the first image in the pic..what do you think??
 
refresh my memory all fem clones to start?? oh and i would be happy to get some herm og cush seeds i dont mind some seeds in my nugs... i remember a dude saying its a clone only strain i still dont see how?? cant you just force it with a chemical to get male pollen,then make more seed??
 
You calculate flowering weeks based upon when you switch the lights to 12/12.

These plants look pretty much like plants that are about 1 week into flowering. All they really do in the first week is stretch out. They will setup spacing and grow, that's all you can really look for. By the end of the second week you should see all your budsites and then you're just off and running.
 
so when a seed pack says 6-7 weeks . they can flower that fast from 12/12 ?mine took like 13-14 weeks to get a decent amount of trichs amber i guess it was a really slow strain...:(i will cut my grow time by 7 weeks with a faster flowering breed!! i was just figuring the seed companies were making things sound better ...

They are talking about total time from the change to 12/12.

I don't recall seeing any as short as 6 weeks...Heavy Indica's can be 7-9 weeks which is where most fall into. Sativa's stretch that to as much as 14 weeks sometimes, but I try to avoid the long flowering sativa's.

Generally you can figure the flowering period by how long the plants stretch. the plants will generally stretch out for the fifst 1/3 of flowering. Sativa's stretch longer and faster and flower slower. So if your plants stretch for about 3 weeks you can figure it will take about 9 weeks. If they keep stretching an extra week, you're looking at a long flowering 12 weeker.
 
you can reverse sex but that results in a hermie. Not a female or male plant. You can try and get seeds but you wont get true genders
 
i would be fine with og kush with seeds thats what i was saying! of coarse its ideal to have pure female flowers:) but im no weed snob , i still put a dimebag into a blunt now and again so seeds are no big deal to me (especially in some kush!) im from the east and i have never had any kush (that i know of:() and would be fine with some seeds in the nuggets....
 
Yeah I feel you bro, here in the east its always some hybrid mids stuff, thats been man handled like an 17 year old boy in prison!!! When something good comes along like blueberry, or maui wauie, it dissapears before you can get your hands on some, and this only happens a few times a year!!!

That sucks...Around here you can get whatever you want and you can definitely get your hands on some fire any time. I still grow it becasue I enjoy growing and just because it's around doesn't mean it's cheap.

Seeds from a hermie won't necessarily be hermie, they are just going to be feminized.
 
It sucks to live so close to Canada and not be able to bring weed across!!! I know that the good shit is so close, I can almost taste it.
 
AMC, what you FAIL to realize, is all that boo-boo that you think is mid-grade because its been handled by some kid and does't look good by the time it gets to you, doesn't mean its not good genetics!

Im kinda confused, but if you find bag-seed in that stuff you're not that satisfied with, it would probably end up being some REALLY good bud if you grew it out.

The only reason your bud isnt of "quality" is because of the way it was dried, cured,and packaged/handled.

Good luck getting some good bud. Next time you find a seed in your dirt-weed dont be scared to germ that shit and mother it!
 
Thanks for the advice, I will seriously consider that!!! I will definately agree with you on the the genetics as well, I have seen some amazing bagsed plants on this site!!!
 
Thats how i found the "barbwire" it was some great bag weed that had seeds in it now its growing all over the usa and you have seen my pics looks dank to me:) i know the seed banks have the big name genetics and i love them too but your right some run of the mill herbs can really grow out to be some killer buds if cared for!
