i havnt got the lights yet wat u rekon i should get for the 2
should i use 2 26wtt cool white for veg and 100 watts worth of warm white for flowering
yeh i mean gettn bulbs equiv to 100wtt daylight for veg ,what about flowering wat u rekon is it going to b easy to change lights for flower stage ,should i get 4 globes equiv to 100wtt soft white for flower so its a easy change over when ready to go to flower stage
can i put a couple of daylights in with the flowering lights to give it more lighti dont think 2 25watt will be enough i would get 4 or if you only want 2 bulbs get a high wattage but like i said before it all depends on the LUMEN.
For the 100 watts worth you mean like 4-6 CFL's which are equal to 100Watts? If so then yeah this is good because there will be alot of lumens
Also i dont know if they are different names where you live but i use Soft White for Flowering and Daylight for Veg.
thanks smiley so i rekon 4to5daylight bulbs that make up 100wtts for veg 6500k. and 4to5 soft white globes that make up 100 wtts 2700k for flowering does that sound ok or what .yeah for vegetation you are pretty much set, but if you want to go an extra step you should try to find 6500K Bulbs for vegetation and 2700K for flowering. but people have grown with only 2700K
for flowering i would recommend on getting the equal wattage because the lumen would probably be very similar
Any more questions?
if you have more questions later dont be afraid to message me

I could use some help or info if anyone can offer. Im starting a full size refrigerator hydro grow and Im able to get my hands on 400w MH Ballasts for super cheap. I know heat will be an issue in such a small space and am curious if I can possibly use a cool tube? But by using a cool tube I would need to put the bulb in a Horizontal (-----) position instead of Verticle ( l )... Right? Is a MH Bulb able to be put into a horizontal position with out burning it out prematurely?
hey man, love the thread, good to see ppl gettin help!! seeing if you can help me.. I really like the idea of a hydroponics set up, but I cannot find a thread on how to possibly assemble a system that could contain 20-30 plants. I can get clones, I'm going to be having a 600W HPS/MH digital.
I only know soil but not sure if its the best choice anymore, I don't wanna have to deal with mites and all these pests I've read about on here. But I am on a budget, basically the light is all I can afford for the time being, still need to get nutes, ph tester, etc, etc next big purchase will be a fan for the cool tube reflector.. any input advice on how to build this system or good cheap nutes??
Most often bulbs are held in a horizontal position, Vertical light is for for secondary side lighting. The sun works quite well with plants growing towards it... Hanging only one light vertically would seem a waste of light to me. I don't see why a cool tube could not be hung vertically, though. I couldn't say for sure but the orientation of the bulb should not cause it to 'burn out'. Its just some electrically excited gas sealed in a tube. If you are thinking of vertical lighting to get light to the lower branches, think about lining your fridge with reflective mylar, It would reflect more light that even the whiteness of the interior would. Is your bulb attached directly to the ballast, maybe? That may be why you want to hang it vertically... On a tangent now. The bulb gives out much less light at the 'ends' of the bulb. You want to hang your light so the 'longest' side is facing the plants...Make sense? Anyways, hope this helps some..

Is there anything that can be sprayed on the leaves that will help a phosphorus deficiency and also won't harm the plant?
FF grow big and big bloom have already been added half strength but it hasn't seemed to help so far (5 days). I am assuming this is what is causing this but I will provide some pictures just in case.
Thanks to anybody who knows and + rep to the one with THE answer.
