thanks hope it helped uNice journal! Super dooper informative.
they all average about 12 inches tall..theyre pretty short and stubby. how tall dyou think they'll get after 2 months of flowering?I am curious how tall your girlies are since putting them in 12/12? Happy growing.
Really, I'd be lying if I told you I knew how tall they'd be for sure. I do not have any first hand experience, but I have read a lot on the issue and everything says it will double to triple in size. Of course it is also going to depend on your light setup, soil, watering, strain, etc.they all average about 12 inches tall..theyre pretty short and stubby. how tall dyou think they'll get after 2 months of flowering?

Also, I have read some strains can take up to 2.5 months or more to flower, and if you flower too early then you're decreasing your potential yield because the buds actually swell the last few weeks of flowering. So just make sure you take your time. By what I've read from swifting through numerous grow journals, it seems like that is one of the top grow mistakes.. just overall rushing things. You're trying to re-create spring for your girlies, so just keep that in mind and I am sure you'll be just fine.
If they're 12 inches now, I'd feel comfortable saying that they will most likely be around 30-35 inches at harvest.
Did you top any of them or you just going with the one main cola? One other thing, since you are in flowering, you should do some reading on molasses. Thought it seemed pretty interesting by what I've read. I see that a lot of people are really happy with the results. Goog it up.
Keep us updated, and keep it real.
aawesome answers thankyou! regarding the cutting off the top piece of the main stem..youre telling me that if i cut a half inch or so off of this main stem above the highest node that it will actually fork out and create TWO main stem/cola pieces?topping is cutting the main stem above the latest nodes, the new growth that is coming up from the top of the plant. this will allow two main stems to come up instead of one, increasing your yield. you could also tie down branches so the lower branches get more light, which will make the plants bushier, this is call "low stress training" or just LST. molasses gives the plant some b vitamins which is supposed to increase yield during budding, etc... my plants are right about your size but yours look healthier and bushier, i have less lights/lumens and have a total of seven plants. I started 12/12 three days ago and waiting to see sex, only keeping the healthiest looking females, hopefully two. good luck bro, peace
Yeah, what he said! Great answer. Molasses increases the size of your bud by what I have read. It's an organic method to accomplish an increase in yield. I have read that some people use it and live by it with their grows, and some people claim that they do not notice a difference at all. There is a lot of data that supports the use of it though, so I say.. with it being organic, you can't really go wrong by giving it a shot with the recommended dosage.
And yeah, you can create two colas. It helps put a small halt on verticle growth and stimulates horizontal growth to give you that nice bushy shape. Again, with every other grow method, some people like it but some people claim that if you have the space to have a 6-7ft. plant, then let nature do it's thing. You could try it as an experiment. You know, same strain, same grow conditions; top one, leave one to grow naturally with it's one cola... Just a thought. You really just need to play around with different methods and see what works for you and your grow conditions. Keep reading, researching, and be patient and I am sure you will have some nice healthy plants that treat you good.
Cheers.
Correct. You should not ever top during flowering, as your plant is concentrating on creating buds; not creating new growth (colas, branches, etc).i heard, though, that you shouldnt be topping plants while theyre in flowering. since i started flowering about a week ago would it be a bad idea to top 1 or 2 of my plants? has anyone else topped during flowering? let me know
yeah i figured itd be smarter to do it in veg. haha.."rep" is your reputation in rollitup you can add to peoples "reps" by clicking on the scale thing at the top right corner of a persons post..i usually add to people's reps if they give me some good tips or if they have really good looking plants/growCorrect. Pardon my ignorance, but what in the world is +rep? Sorry, I am new to the forum.
Keep the updates coming, and some pictures when you get the chance. I want to see how your girlies are liking their new schedule.
Cheers.
