use you nut and wrap the fan in towels or floor insulation and duct tape it all up so the fan housing is all covered.
easy done.

lol ive got the 150mm low powered ruck fan also lol ermm ive put it in a box and insulated it best i can but i still can here it in my room its cant be heard outside and delivers hell of alot of air keeps my 600w hps lamp cool to the touch. the temperature fan might be quieter because to be honest the fan i use doesn't have to work as hard as it does to cool the lamp it could work at 50% speed and do the job.

Your fan should be a lot noisier at lower speeds than the one I am planning on buying because it hums at lower rpm.

150-L has 4 windings and switches between them to change speed.
The two fans would be probably only comparable if yours ran at full power and mine at ca half.
I guess I'll have to just buy it and see/hear.
