Alrighty - well, i've been busy this evening and I've repotted all 6 kidz into 6" pots using straight Promix. After repotting, I pH'd some fresh water down to about 6.8 and added approximately 1/3 strength veg nutes to the water as well and watered them into their new homes.

5,6 Dreamtime (Mr.NICE)

Any and all comments welcome! :bigjoint:

Looking good :)
Thanks Tatan... nice to know you're watching! I know you'd said to wait until the roots filled out those small peat-cup pots before repotting, but I couldn't leave them in there much longer due to them drying out so fast under my light. With the larger pots, more soil and less perlite in the mix, i'm hoping they'll retail moisture a bit better. I've also started them on 1/3 strength veg nutes (6ml per gallon), so we'll see what the kids think of that in the next few days. The promix doesn't have any nutrients in it, so i'm hoping it will help boost their roots a bit.. :)

Hey Dayzt nice grow, I got some bubblelicious growing about a week or 2 ahead of your stage, what kinda of nutes are you using for veg?

Mine stretched out too i put them as deep as you have and now the leaves are getting really big, so no worries. are you gonna use any topping or FIM method on these or just gonna let them grow o'natural?

Hey Angel - awesome to see you tuning in!! So you'll have to post a few pics of your Bubs so I can compare them! :)
What are you using for soil and lights etc.?

We'll see how they look after a few more weeks and then i'll decide how to prune them. I'd like to try the FIM method, but most likely just topping - we'll see. It's my first time, so I may even try both in order to get a feel for it. I have 3 Bub seedlings so I have that I have 2 out of 3 females!

I don't remember the brand name of the veg nutes... i'll post it for you later this evening along with a pic. What nutes are you using?

Herre's a couple of pic of my bubblelicious babies, about 3 weeks from sprout.

Im using FF Ocean forest for soil, no nutes so far thats why I was curious.

And I have 8 43W CFLS but Im only using 4 at a time to keep the temps down for now, when the AC goes in it will be full blast.

Yeah man I'll keep checkin in see how yours is turning out for reference and likewise. Its my first grow so anything helps.. toke easy bro:joint:

Okay.... here's the next update on the grow!!!!

Things have really taken off since the repotting on Tuesday of this past week, and starting the veg nutes (at approx 1/2 strength or a bit less). I've been watching for any signs of burn and haven't seen anything yet, so I think i'll stick to 1/2 srength for one more watering (been watering every 3 days) and after that i'll increase to 2/3 strength. Growth is exponentially more in the past 3-4 days, but i'm still thinking they're a bit behind where they should be. Oh well, at least they aren't dieing and are always showing signs of new growth.... I'm patient, so they can take an extra week or two in veg if they need to.

Again, please take a look a post any comments or concerns - cheerz!!!!

When leaving comments, please use thier names to refer to a specific plant! (Look back through my other updates to see the progress of each.) - Thanks!

What should I do?

I was looking at the bottom of the pots today and noticed a small white root poking through one of the drain holes on two of my plants.... should I be repotting these again ALREADY? I just repotted them about 4-5 days ago. It could just be a single adventurous root in both of them, but I don't want to stop them from growing....

Anyone..????

No.. dont repot yet. That will happen every time your plants are happy. You put them in a new pot , and a few days later you see the roots sticking out.
What ive read is that you want the roots to be really bunched up right before you put them in a new pot , so that roots will fully utilize the new soil.

Okay... well i'll keep a close eye on it - I just don't want to stress them and risk getting any herms. I've attached a pic of the root poking through the bottom...

I've also noticed some very strange leaves on a few of my plants... I'm fairly sure it's just genetics, but is this what some people call 'freaks', and if so, is this going to effect my plants 'long term'?

Pic#1

This is one of the Bubblicious plants - notice the narrow leaves that look like they have 'bites' out of them but have naturally grown that way... i've also put an arrow beside the one other leave on the left that looks like it has some sort of healed 'war wound'...lol

Pic #2

This is the other Bubblicious plant that looks funny...i've pointed out two leaves that look a bit stunted and/or like they were crumpled... the smaller arrow is pointing to where there is an apparent missing leaf as the branch across from it has 3 leaves and that branch has only the 2...

....anything to be concerned about? Will they 'grow out' of this freaky leaf pattern?

Yeah.. ive read about plants that grow weird at first. From what ive read, its no big deal and it doesnt really affect the plant later

nice i never thought of using my share bathroom lol. You just helped me a bunch.
Hey MJ101... welcome to my grow thread! Yeah, I didn't have much of a choice but to use the spare bathroom - the only thing is I don't have very good fresh-air intake. I have to leave the door open occasionally to get fresh-air in there... Another thing is humidity - I have to have the bathroom fan on 24/7 to keep the stale air moving and keep the temps normal... other than that, it's been good - I have one of those movable shower-curtain rods that works awesome for hanging my light... :)

Ok.... been waiting all evening for the site to come back up.... it's update time again!

The kids are all still looking very healthy - I'm still wondering if they're growing slower than they should be though. Can you guys look at these pics and comment on how they look compared to other plants at the same age? TIA!!! :weed:

Week 2, Day 5

Pic #1 - Alice

- Alice is looking as freaky as ever. I think there's some screwy genetics going on here. Please comment on the leaf structure and lack thereof... she's real green and healthy though! :leaf:

Pic #2 - Barb

- Barb is easily the runt of the pack, but what she lacks in size she makes up for with symmetry - more than the other 2 Bubblicious plants say at this point!

Pic #3 - Candy

- Like Alice, Candy has some strange genetics going on as well but still continues to show new growth and a thick looking stem. Brushing your finger on the leaves already gives a nice sweet smell!!! :weed:

Pic #4 - Beth

- Wow, Beth is looking awesome. Although she's only about 2.5" tall, her girth is over 6".... she going to be a bush! Perfect symmetry and nice greenery going down... her future looks bright so far! :joint:

Pic #5 - Doris

- Doris used to be the runt, neck and neck with Barb. Now she's caught up with her sister Deb and is looking even a tad bigger! This plant is looking ALOT like Beth as well - very healthy but short and wide. :leaf:

Pic #6 - Deb

- Deb's future was looking a bit grim since she started getting her second set of leaves. Her cotyldon leaves were the first to turn yellow. Although she's a bit of a lighter green than the rest, I don't see any signs of stress or burn, and new growth is always pouring forth from her center so I'll try not to judge and just watch her do her thang...lol. :peace:

--------------------------------

Pic #7 - My Grow Room

- Please look at this pic and let me know if I have my light (400w MH) too close or too far from the plants. I've lowered it to about 12-13" from the tops of the plants and it seems to be a good height - it gets pretty warm under there. Also, is it time yet to put up some mylar walls around them, or is the depth of the tub still enough??

Please post any and all comments... all replies are appreciated and will be rewarded with +rep if they are extra helpful!!

Cheerz all!!!!! bongsmilie

I think Alice and Candy, will be fine. More than likely that funky initial growth, wont carry into the late stages of groth.
Other than that, your plants are looking the way they are supposed to; they are staying short and the fan leaves are starting to grow nicely.
About your lights, What ive heard, is to put your light at the distance in which the warmth from the bulb no longer bothers your hand after you leave it for a bit. Basically you are trying to get the bulb as close as possible without burning the plants.

From the way your going so far, I think you are going to have an awesome grow:mrgreen:

Do you think introducing some organic fertilizer to the soil-mix in my final repotting would be a good idea? (bat guano, blood/bone-meal or something) I heard that should help increase growth, and my soil-less medium is pretty plain (promix) having no nutrients, just the peat-moss and perlite.....
