Day 42. Week 6, day 1. Water tonight and tied up most of the branches. My clones are showing a few roots.
I'll probably give a big feeding tomorrow with Overdrive. Overdrive for 2 weeks, flush for 2 weeks. Day 75, harvest.. Maybe a little less over-drive and a little less flush if needed.

Add overdrive now. They look right for it. I don't think these will flower as long as you do. They are JUST starting week 6 now? They are looking like they will take roughly 9 - 10 weeks to flower so I would start it now, feed it for 2 weeks and then flush. Should put you right on!

You should always worry about yeild more than potency as one hand generally shakes the other. BUT, there are definitely areas where I wouldn't mess around trying to get max yeild over potency and one is the flowering period. If those trichomes look pretty good at say 65 days and you let them go until 75 days you will have made a general newb move of missing the harvest window.
The plants will tell you what to do, not your own feelings, hopes, dreams or aspirations. Generally the plants stretch for the first 1/3 of flowering. Your plants did not take an unusually long time to finish that stage and they look at least 2/3's of the way done now. If they went 75 days I would worry a bit about having bud that's just narcotic and annoying to smoke. You'll wonder why you just get tired and never high off your shit.
Just plan for 65 and let it go an extra days if need be. The plant will eat itself for the nutrients it needs to continue. I always plan my nutrients as though the plants will take 65 days and if they take longer, they take longer and stay on plain water (or water with molasses) in the case of soil.
It's better to have them flush too long, than to feed them nutrients too long and have to harvest unflushed buds.

What? Why? Id rather have a dank 8th than an oz of shwag. To get a good yield all you have to do is NOT stress your plant in ANY way.
Id be pissed if I harvest all this bud and it didnt do shit. Like i said, potency comes form the drying and curing.

You're bud may get a little more potent after a good cure, but you bud should get you blasted while it's still on your plant!
I'm not saying not to focus on getting good quality bud, but if you are going for more yeild and you have a decently potent strain you will get DANK buds. There are a few things that you can do to improve potency such as adding UVB to your setup. But for the most part the potency is determined by the amount of stress the plant has and HUGELY on the genetics. While growing you shouldn't be "focusing" on potency, that just happens if you keep stress away from your plants (maximizing yeild requires the same) and starting from good genetics.
So my focus is yeild with the knowledge that there isn't a WHOLE lot I can do about potency.
Most of the time when you see terrible buds and/or bad smok,e it wasn't that the plants were grown terrible, it's that they weren't dried and cured properly, it is really easy to loose potency during curing if done improperly, but curing doeesn't really make non-potent bud potent.

Can I start trimming fan leaves now or should I leave them? I got some lower buds I want to receieve some better light. maybe i'll just give them more time. I dont lik ecutting off leave.s
