nope never cloned before. kinda was planning on doing it soon, thats why i still have those others veggin.
Any forum you can show me on how to?
thanks!
You grow in soil... so I would say the best way would be to stick your cuttings on Rapid Rooter plugs...
Take your clipping from the plant using a SHARP instrument... you want to make sure you are CUTTING and not crushing the stem... re-cut if necessary...
Some people say to cut at a 45 degree angle, I do, as it makes it easier to "stab" the clone on the plug...
You should "scar the last 1/2" of the stem and apply a rooting powder/gel...
Stab the clone on the Rapid Rooter Plugs and keep them moist...
You should see roots in 14 days... the just transplant it to your pot...
Now... a proper agricultural heat mat, with a thermostat, will speed up the process...
Some use domes and spray the clones..
My take on it is to give the clone as much as it needs to SURVIVE...
Keeping them a bit thirsty will encourage roots to grow and seek more water...
I use Ebb Flow with hydroton and Rockwool cubes... so it is a bit different...
Have you ever considered Ebb/Flow?
I keep a larger than needed tank so the solution is a bit more stable, and I can leave my op alone for a week with no issues... there are always risks of power outages and equipment failure, but I think it is all highly manageable...
Just a thought.. I won;t try to "convert" you or anything.. but you could set up a small, cheap DIY and see the results for your self...
And if you really want to get down and dirty with the cloning...
Just take a cutting and stick in a pot with some dirt... it'll root... it'll root just fine....
