but am just an old guy..grew up in the mtns. been smoking since i was 16 and growing since i was 25 or so when the wife and i bought our own country place..yeah i should'nt have said that..but i just don't think someone should comment till they read what i actually said..it makes talking here alot easier when people read what was actually said and not an interpretation of what they thought was said..and no i don't think i'm the best grower at all..i just try to post my experiences with strains , plant problems or whatever...i don't judge or criticize as we all trying to gain knowledge and learn here..as you probably know this is where we can put our experiences to use for the y.ounger crowd to learn from..hell i learn something every time i come on here practically.. peace

i believe that green house had some good breeding in the early years and those strains are still good,but i have seen people grow the church and doctor or whatever and it was good not great,also their is not a lot of variance in their strains it seems.it looks like much of the old stuff with different names but it all smokes and tastes the same.but these names are getting sickening.as for feminized don't like them,what better way to wreck weed then that.lets fuck with all its natural breeding see what we get,a bunch of docile plants for the future,but people like fems i dont never will.

whulkamania, sorry to say that to ya.just read what's posted not what you think i wrote..but compared to other things i've grown they are subpar imo..i'm sorry to hear your having trouble..best advise i can give you is keep it simple, don't over think it..and don't cut early or you'll lose alot of potentcy..it;'s a weed..many scrog,lst and whatever else they do and it almost always keeps on growing ..it's not rocket science..i know guys who use miracle grow soil and food and their shit turns out real good..but imho it all starts with genetics.the better they are the better you look as a grower..

Here's My Alaskan Ice. Topped it, Bent The shit out of it was going to toss it tll the Buds Started comming out. These pics suck but I have 9 branches Getting full of Buds sticky as Hell. What I'm saying is This plant needs a lot of work and attention ie only grow this strain with nothing else growing and work with her. I'm glad she is still here. My other plants are almost done then I can put more light on her. That pic above looks like neglect and lack of love. I'd love to see this strain outdoors, Be fucking huge with some work.

i can say that cfls are fine for the job, i hear the veg lamp does a better job then the budding lamp, but they do the job, this is my first ever grow, with very little knowledge, and i have produced some fine looking plants, from..... greenhouse seed co, and by using cfls also i grow in a confined space so cfls are ideal for me as the temps are kept low. i personally feel it's down to the setup of the grow medium and on the individual, whether it becomes a succesful grow,

I think many people have tunnel vision or very narrow horizons and tend to think of believe that this site is totally representative of the entire growing world. If more people ventured out of their RIU comfort zone they would find that things out there can be very different. Perceptions vary greatly about breeders and strains.

The world is alot bigger than the hundred or so regular posters on this site.
I've had the pleasure of growing the church. (currently its what i'm smoking). It really is deserving of high praise, although a perfect ten might be a bit of a stretch.

so brick because ive seen the strains i talk about grown or grown them and dont get all 10 over them i have not seen the world.my thumb at 15 took me more miles in 2 years then you probably traveled by plane.i cant even remember all the strains me or 2 buddies grew,we tried keeping score but lost count.and yes the church i experienced was in no way a 10,if it was next to the old greenhouse rino it would look like a poor step child.and their are a lot more people with experience and have been around a lot more then you realize on this site.So i say to you maybe it is you that needs to get around and out more.

Couldn't agree with you more...More than likely that site that has it rated as a 10 probably has 1 rating on it from one persons perspective...I highly doubt every person who rates it would rate a 10(since it does say its an average, the only way that would work is for every person to have rated it a 10). I am not saying its bad, but it seems that was a bad post of info to rely upon...
I would also rather rely on information posted by other people on here, since it is more than likely less biased.

I'd look for another problem .. CO2 ? Over/underfertilizing ? ...Indoors you are trying to duplicate natural sun moisture and soil .... good luck .. read and read and READ !! on this site .. sort thru the BS and experiment ..as Uncle Ben says !!

Thanks Gangjababy .. sorry .. I commented too early above .. and just reread some of the other pages .. maybe he did get some bum seeds .. seeds are a copy of genetic material .. and mutants do occur .. that's why nature puts out so many seeds .. only the strong survive .... if the seeds or clones are taken from a plant with weak genetics .. they are more susceptible to more mutants ..
