In 2002 and 2003, Dick Cheney ordered the torture of key prisoners captured in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Cheney says he ordered torture to stop another terrorist attack, but the evidence is now clear: Cheney wanted false "confessions" to justify the unprovoked U.S. invasion of Iraq.
Those "confessions" were featured in key pre-war speeches by Cheney, George Bush, and Colin Powell that betrayed Congress, the American people, and the world.
Thus the "Torture" scandal and the "Iraq" scandal are not two separate scandals, but one massive and historically disastrous scandal: the Iraq-Torture Scandal.
Cheney claims his torture "saved hundreds of thousands of lives." In reality, it cost hundreds of thousands of lives - innocent Iraqi lives. It also killed over 4,300 U.S. soldiers, maimed hundreds of thousands more, cost U.S. taxpayers $3 trillion dollars, and profoundly damaged U.S. credibility and security.
Dick Cheney understands the enormity of his crimes and launched a public relations war to protect himself, including carefully-chosen TV interviews and speeches. His daughter (and chief defender) Liz Cheney admitted her father's greatest fear is prosacution
It's time for Congress to investigate the massive Iraq tortue-scandel and for the Department of Justice to prosecute Dick Cheney for creating it.

The Problem is that these so-called conservatives (Nazis) will say that the end justifies the means.
But they forget that in congressional hearing a CIA agent in charge of the interrogations said that they had to waterboard (torture) Khalid Sheikh Mohammed 86 times to no avail. What got him to talk was to put him in a box with a stinging bug (not torture).

Explain to me Dank how there is a difference between

Water-boarding - If done properly does nothing more than cause mental anguish

and taking advantage of some one's fear of insects - causes mental anguish.

Seems to me that if you are going to apply the label of Torture to Water-boarding than you should apply it to Exploiting some one's fear of insects.

Of course, I don't think either are actually qualifiable as torture as it is not an attempt to use mutilation (permanent / semi-permanent disfiguration) to extract information.

More so, is if it was as torturous as claimed then why was Khalid Sheikh Mohammed able to go through it 86 times with out speaking? Perhaps he thought that it was not torture, but that being placed in the same room as a stinging insect was when he was not able to move (I'm assuming they tied him up to keep him stationary and thus incapable of killing the insect.)

you have to have the terrorists upside down during the interview. so the water goes down his nose .
it was more common than not if a helicopter was around they would drag a couple of them up in it..with a interperter of course. and start throwing the terrorists out of it.one at a time till one talked...then they would throw him out of it to see if he could fly after he was done.
you all act so self rightous about these ass holes so called rights. this country was founding on murdering the american indian to steal his land..murdered and starved and killed their babys ..and gave them small pox..moved them to the worst fucking places in this country that could not grow food in many cases.this shit is still going on right today and all you fucking ignorant liberals can talk about is the rights of terrorists. FUCKING WOW..i dont know what else to say..i think you liberals fuckers have to really be the most worthless mother fuckers to breath air..if you would all crawl off in a corner and rot would make alot of us happy as hell.

1. waterboarding is not torture. Cutting someones hands off, now that would be torture.

2. Terrorists are our enemies. Tourturing your ememies is perfectly fine especially if they are crazy rag head fucks who want to kill us.

3. i'll take dick cheney over that punk obama ANY DAY.
