Ima be straight no sugar coat , you gonna need more than 2 cfl's in my opinion for vegging. get like 2 more when you get your bigger box. At least 2 more but i'd say 3. Other than that you should be fine. And I know how it feels to break a cfl bulb, one of my grand daddy big light output ones broke and it was like i lost a child. Ofcourse I bought another that same day but it still hurts >.>

new pics of my setup. the only problem with it is that I haven't put in fans yet..so as of now I am keeping the lid on the box open to circulate it as best as I can until I find out how to get power to my pc fans.


btw the CFL over there is DIY . im so proud of myself lol




EDIT: so my plants are looking pretty green now. not that much growth stunt from the transfer.
working on getting the fans running.

you should build a hole on top so the light hangs. oh and are you gonna build a new one when it gets bigger?

HELP GUYS!!! I ACCIDENTALLY DROPPED ONE OF MY PLANTS AND NOW I THINK I SHOCKED IT!! will it die? it still looks healthy but in a few hours it may not seem so . im hoping for the best. but dropping it also made me find out something also wrong with it. it seems to have one of its leaves GLUED onto something. check the pictures and you'll see. sorry for the quality i couldn't seem to focus it onto the plant. i have seen something similar to my other plant, which was the cannabis' inner shell casing. I really believe this is tying my plant's leaf down and im thinking of cutting it loose. Do you think i should proceed?! please help asap !!!

Same thing happened to me with one of my seeds, I just moistened it and took it off. Gently, very friggin gently.
LOL I have also dropped a seedling on my garage floor. Actually Ive dropped 2 seedlings and a clone. And i've dropped one plant ON another plant. Yes Im retarded but they are all ok...

Hauvert, I was planning on hanging it, but I did not have the cord long enough for it to be hanged in the middle. I am going to try and tape it against the wall to see if it helps better.

as the plants get bigger i'm going to have to find a better box to grow it in..probably a computer box or something different. i don't think i'll be out of this box in 2 week's time so there's still time for me to think and proceed accordingly.

i actually think you might need a bigger box sooner. it looks tiny.

omg dude you really gave me relief knowing that shit like this happens. i really hope they turn out fine and that it grows and grows...

i germinated the seeds at the same time yet the one that didn't have issues is almost 2 inches taller than the other.

i really hope that they both turn out females or else this whole ordeal would devastate me. lol

my camera is charging so ill have to show it tommorow. well when it first sprouted, there were two very small leaves and i figured that I should bury it only up to the leaves..now the stem is like 2 inches tall. i think the stem wont grow much larger after the first node though

in other news, the plant that i dropped is starting to grow now. i noticed it grew like a centimeter since the last time I seen it.

er...that has nothing to do with my problem lol. as u can see my seeds germinated already and is growing..it just looks like it got nute burned. how do i flush the nute if its the problem?

i just flushed out the nutrients. i saw a few roots come off and stuff I guess I shocked it..but at least it's sort of better than having nutrient burn. hopefully itll recover soon..

well..i'm not even sure i have any nutrients in the plant. I just used the gardening soil outside my backyard and I have no clue what it is. I am pretty sure it contains nutrients so yeah..

Honestly, I did not. I totally forgot about buying a ph meter but i will be doing it sometime this week. i am using bottled water and water that has sat out for 24 hours. here are some pics. some of the brown stuff is soil that got onto the plant, but not all of it is.

i really do think it got nute burned and maybe the water im pouring contains a high ph. please let me know if u notice any indications of anything!!

It could be, Im really not an expert at all. But at least grab a PH test kit so you have a rough idea of what your dealing with.
It might be a combination of the 2. Thats how I killed my first 6 seedlings, Miracle Grow and a PH of >8.
Yours don't look too bad yet, but you might want try the " Marijuana Plant Problems" section to see if anything looks familiar.

i have used litmus paper, and I had it at neutral (7). i guess the litmus paper is very untrustworthy but it's all I got.

i got a hold of these big orange pills that contains potassium b_____ (i forgot the rest lol). my friend gave it to me but he has no clue what it does. on the label it said something about pH and so i just took it thinking I might need it. to use it, it said to dissolve 1 pill in 100mL of water. not sure if it neutralizes it, but some help would be appreciated.

update: my plants seem to be fine. they are not turning yellow anymore ever since I washed the soil and filtered out the soil for any nutes in it. i sprayed it a couple times with a mist sprayer thingy to increase humidity because the inside of the box appears too dry. i also added a timer to run the fan for 16 hours a day.
