My first grow. Rubbermaids CFL

Hey Tatan, thanks for the comment man. I have about 35 inches of room to grow, which is why I want to get these little ones in flower pretty soon. I also want to repot it before I flower though, which is why I asked if it was okay to repot without a solid rootball. I also think the soil looks entirely too dry. I've been using a moiture meter the whole grow and it seems to be right on though. I wonder sometimes if I should water a little on top. Any advice? Anyways, thanks for the comment about the ladies. They are pretty sweet to me I must say.:peace::hump:
Well.. if you have 35 inches you are cutting it kind of thin.. cause to the height of the plants, you have to add the height of the pots....

And yeah.. I would a little more on top.. a little wont hurt...

Right, I will be cutting a little close, but if worse comes to worse, I'll just tie the shit of them to keep them as short and compact as possible. Thanks for the help man.

Yeah, I'm using PC fans as well. I had all kinds of problems still though. Its all straightened out now that it's getting warmer outside. I hope you get some nice buds man. Thanks for stopping.

What's going on ya'll? I just thought since I had nothing better to do this afternoon I might as well give you guys on here something to read about. Haha. The ladies are looking fabulous. I'm getting impatient. I want to start flowering soon, but know that a little more veg time will go a long way.

I worked a little on the plants this morning. When I say I worked on them I mean I did a little tying to try to level out the canopy.

(Pictures 1-3) THAI PLANT
As usual, my Thai plant is looking extraordinary. I think this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever grown/created/been a parent to. I wanted to try to create some more space, not that I'm running short now, but I feel I will be cutting it close on space near the end of flowering. The goal was to shorten the plants up as much as possible by means of LST. I was able to take some the side branches and tie them around, and make a really good tie on the main stalk that shortened the plant that was 7 inches down to 5 inches. I think that's pretty successful.

(Pictures 3-6) SOUR DIESEL
The SD has completely taken on a new identity. I didn't think this one was going to turn out so good, but I was wrong. It looks amazing now. I also started LST on this one. I thought it was getting tall and strong enough for it. I was able to shorten this one from 7 inches down to 5 as well, so both plants are just about the same height, give or take a few fractions of an inch. I noticed a little drooping on this one today, but both plants got water and nutes yesterday, so I dont think it's anything to be worried about. I'll let it dry out a bit before I give it another watering. Let me know what you think about the LST job on this one.

Picture 7 is the traditional birds eye view.

Let me know what you all think about everything. Any feedback is welcome!! Have a good weekend!!!!!:peace::peace:

its something ive been working on this grow, just from my own experimenting. not to be confused with topping, which is commonly called pinching also.

but with many plants not just weed. pinching the stalks enough to break the vascular tissue inside the stem will slow the vegetative growth while it repairs that section, and will produce more buds above the pinch. im still learning how often you can do it with out pushing the plants too much. but they are definitely resilient little fuckers, so dont be scared, you wont hurt em with a ginger yet forceful touch.

Thats a pretty cool little trick. I appreciate the help. I'll give that a shot and we'll see what happens. Thanks a lot for stopping by man.

Hey man. I can honestly say this was the best route for me because I needed something stealthy and effective, and I think this worked out well. Thanks alot for the complitment on the plants. And for stopping by man.
Hey BT... any plans on putting the plants to flower yet ?
hey bud those plants look great dude! keep it up. how much long till 12/12?
Hey Tatan and DW, thanks for the comments! I plan on vegging these another 7 to 10 days or so. Get them to about 50 days old, and then throw them into flower then. They're both looking good. I'll try to get a nice update up today or tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by!:peace::peace:

For anyone who still might be subscribed to this thread, I apologize for my lack of updates the last few weeks. I do have some good news to share. I was blessed with two females, ended up 2 for 2. About one week into flower. I'll get some pictures and a nice update up if this message gets some responses. Hope all grows that I would normally be following have been going well.

What's up guys? So like I said before, I'm sorry about my laziness. It's been about a month since my last update, and there is plenty of good news to share. Both plants came out female. They've been in flower for about 2 weeks now. I flushed them both on the last watering in veg and the first two of flower, and yesterday was their first nute watering. I used Big Bloom at quarter strength. They both grew a lot in the one day its been since the watering.

Sour Diesel - Pictures 1-3
The Sour Diesel plant ended up growing much taller in the last month, passing up my other plant in height. I haven't measured in a week or so, so I cant give an accurate number as to how tall it really is. It's looking very healthy, some dying leaves here and there but I attribute that to high heat. All the bud sites look healthy. Plenty of hairs.

Thai - Pictures 4-6
My Thai plant is looking much more compact than the SD plant, as well as a little more healthy. Doesn't put off close to as much smell as the SD though. It's got lots of good bud sites as well. Looking forward to the smoke!

So, up to this point, this has been an overall successful grow as far as I can see. I'm definitely going to get some bud, now the question is how much. I have gone far too long without watering twice now, and with the plants looking like they're dying and decrepit, I gave them some water and they bounced back in one day. It's really amazing how resilient these plants are.

Anything you guys want to recommend or comment on, please do. Take it eassssy.

very healthy looking plants. looks like you have a good routine down. my first comment, is to pick off the brown, and dying leaves. especially the ones already in the pot. its a place for fungi and bugs to take hold. plus it just makes your plant look better. you wont have to pull hard, it will come right off in your fingers.

in my experience and others will tell you differently. but to allow better light penetration and air flow, especially in a small grow cabinet. its okay to pull off some of the biggest fans, especially if they are blocking a bud site. from my grows ive come to find that the big leaves, are more of a nutrient holder. in the outdoors when it doesnt rain for days and days, the big fans store the nutrients to get by. they wither away and die during the dry spell, but the rest of the plant lives on strong. since you are indoors those huge fans arent a dire need. others will tell me im wrong, and thats where you can gotta find wut works best for you.

also dont feel as if your grow is being ignored, the less you update it, the less it pops up for us to read in subcribed list. update once a week if you want some more interaction and have stuff to talk about. you dont gotta post pictures in every update. ask questions, explain wut you are doing in detail. so your next grow you can refer to this one. i have a hand written journal but this website helps me track my growth and info better than that.

good luck and good growing!

Hey SS. Thanks for stopping man. I was planning on removing some fan leaves so the light can penetrate deeper, I just dont know much about the process so it kind of freaks me out. The dead and dying will defintely be removed though, thanks for the heads up on the mold and fungus. Thanks again for all the help man.
