im leaning heavily this way..




id still like to hear your argument for the 600s... keep in mind its only a 9x7 space.. its not like its a 12x12 room or anything... so coverage will be sufficient either way... if you figure a 1000w covers a 20 to 32 square foot space (depending on where and what you read) no matter if i use the 600s or 1000s i will have well over the "suggested" coverage area covered...

i only have 63 sq.ft to cover..

4-1000s x 20sqft coverage per light = 80 sqft total coverage

6-600s x 12 sq.ft coverage per light = 72 sqft of coverage

those are the smallest coverage area that wormsway says the lights cover... so i was just going by those numbers.. i really dont know what a 600 or 1000 is suppose to cover...

so i going to do 12 plants and i pretty much want them to grow as big as the room will allow.. not much more than 4.5 to 5 ft tall.. and maybe a total of 3 ft width... sounds about right..

oh yea.. im sure ill have plenty of tweaking along the way... it would be amazing as hell tho if i could get it perfect the first time.. but i dont see that happening..



so my partner calls me and tells me he is stopping by out of no where.. which is uncommon for him.. so i was a little tripped out why he called..

well he shows up with a small water pump and a thermos.. and im thinking WTF?? he comes in and tells me they are the clones that he was gonna get for us.. like a week early.. fully rooted and ready to be potted...

- about 20 OG kush, but i only kept 8.. the rest he is throwing outside..

well i wasnt sure what to do with them... i didnt have and new soil.. and i cant set the hydro system up until the girls are cut down... so i made what i hope was the best choice in the situation.. i took some of the foam cups like the sprouts are in and poked drain holes in the bottom.. i put about a 1/4" of hydroton in the bottom for added drainage... i then took a little top soil from a few of the girls and finished transplanting them into the cups.. i figured the soil is only temporary so it should be ok.. and there arent any bloom nutes really left in the soil anyways.. so this means monday HAS to be cut down day... i want to get them out of the soil and into the hydro system asap so they can start getting veg nutes...

i BEGGED the girls to hurry up and finish... and ill beg them everytime i go to see them from now till then.. the only other option would be to get the new ballasts and hang, but i dont really have the money to do that right now...

i was kinda pissed that i didnt get a heads up at all from my dude.. he just showed up and basically like "here figure it out".. i couldnt see buying soil since its only 10 clones and i wont use any soil after this harvest.. dont get me wrong.. i loved WHY he showed up.. im excited about the next grow.. 4 kinds of fire buds... but a little warning, even if it was a couple hours, would have been nice.. but it was litterally like 10 minutes...

so this next grow will consist of

7 Blueberry
1 white shark
7 OG kush
3 chemdog

i think also what im going to do is keep about 3 grows going at once.. if i can... heres the plan

the veg room will have 12 main plants that veg for 4 to 5 weeks.. these will be the commercial stuff.. i am still not sure what strain yet.. but i am thinking it will be super lemon haze from greenhouse seeds.. supposed to be a HUGE yielder... since these 12 girls shouldnt take up all the space completely i will cram as many autoflower girls in there too.. there is a blueberry x ak47 mix i want... and some other girls.. these autoflowers would be my personals... i might run my floros with 2 veg and 2 bloom bulbs in them to enhance the spectrum for the vegging plants, and give the autoflowers both spectrums while they grow.. all i would have to do to switch from veg to bloom nutes is add a feed tube to one of the autoflower pots, as long as i keep all the pots interconnected..

and since in the flower room there should be space under the canopy and plenty of space on the ground thats not in use i was thinking about just running a mini sog grow under it.. basically just root clones and stick them straight in to flower.. again this would be for my personals...

what do you guys think??

last night i couldnt sleep.. kept thinking about this air situation... bringing in fresh and air cooling the lights.. and i think i figured it out in a dream i had after i feel asleep..

on the left side of the flower room there is a window.. i am going to cut out around the window where the poly is and put a piece of plywood over it.. i will then cut 2 holes.. a 12" and 6" hole.. the 12 inch will air cool the lights, which will be exhausted into the attic... this was i only have to run the 12" fan when the lights are on.. rather it be to much air than too little.. key to this is keeping the lights cool to the touch.. i will run a 6" fan to the other hole, and at the end put a Y-splitter.. one of the splitter sides wont have any duct to it to feed the flower room fresh air... and the other side will have about 3 ft. worth of duct to feed the veg room fresh air... couple that with a few oscilating fans and i have my fresh air and air cooled lights... now i also plan on leaving the can fan in the flower room and running that into 8" exhaust on the exhaust end of the lights.. this way it can help move air on the exhaust side of the lights up to the attic.. i may even install a small cage fan or something just to keep it all moving smoothly... i know its hard to imagine... and there are still a few things im trying to work out... but for the most part i have it...

my main concern with pulling fresh air in from outside is that as i've said seasons here are extreme... 3/4 of the year i wouldnt be worried about it.. but during the winter we have a couple months that average 0F-15F and during the summer we have a few months that average 90F-100F... my biggest concern is that the 6" fan on the can fan wont pull enough of the air out of the room to keep temps down in the summer... i guess the winter all i have to do is maybe not use it, or at least throw it on a timer so it only turns on like 10 minutes an hour.. just enough to give the girls some fresh air.. are these legitimate concerns.. i guess now im just in a freaking out stage because i dont know if i should go with my original plan of using air from the room and cooling the lights (like the picture i showed) and exhausting it into a smaller room that has the can filter so it can clean the air.. or if this new layout would be better...

have a good trip bro... get some R&R.. and be ready to see some huge growth changes from your girls when you get back.. i bet about a foot worth at least.. they'll miss you too.. so they will do everything they can to make you proud when you get back..

ill snap a pic of the clones here in a little bit and post them... they are smaller clones.. like what you would think of when you think of clones.. not those monster clones you and MG are privy too.. LOL but they are the start of a good room..

ill prolly just flower the chemdog, og kush, BB, and white shark all from clones.. i figure i can get 5 each of them into flower at a time.. i also figure i can get at least 10 autoflowers in the veg room going.. this along with the 12 commercial girls should make for a hell of a grow... might have to get a bigger ez-cloner.. only have a 30 spot right now.. should get a 60 site one or something... let me know if you guys want any of them once i am up and running.. be it those or the SLH i am getting.. or whatever else i end up getting.. who knows...

oh.. btw.. did you hear about the guy who got arrested for trying to send 250lbs of weed through UPS?? i think 250 is what my buddy told me...

i run the fan on low. remember i don't have duct work... haha i do want to bringin sum freash air during the winter time espesaly w/ the 1000 wtter.
