Advanced Stealth Hydro Bubbeponics Thread

Well everybody, I've been thinking, with the popularity of the Stealth Hydro Bubbleponics thread it's about time another thread is set up for the people who are familiar with the system. The main reason being anyone who has been on the thread for more than a couple months has had to of noticed the ridiculous amounts of repeated questions, recurring problems, one time posters, and the like. And with Roseman and Purpdaddys guide for beginners I think most of the Newbie Questions have been answered.
So this thread is dedicated and created for those of us who have figured out our pH problems, nutrient issues, lights, ventilation and what not and have moved on to DIY, experimentation, and upgrading what we're currently working with. Before anyone gets too upset, I just want to say I'm not trying to exclude anyone, I just don't want to confuse anyone. If your talking about experimentation in the other threads undoubtably some newbie will take that for advice and end up with all kinds of problems, so you really have to watch what you say. Here you can say what you please (with all do respect for others and their opinions) and not have to worry about re-explaining to everyone why you did what you did.
So " Advanced Bubbleponic Users" Welcome to the Thread!!! :joint:

Okay, well I guess I'll start. I've been thinking about the lingistics of creating a recirculating Bubbleponics system. I would start with two but could add however many I wanted. I was thinking two reservoirs and three levels. Almost like an ebb and flow into the next res type thing. The Main Res ( 15-20 ) gal or so on the top. About 6 inches higher then the two Bubbleponics systems on a table, then with a pump on the last one going back down to the Lower Res (also an overflow line in case of pump failure Which would be large enough for all the water in the system. Then hooking that up to an Aquarium chiller and back up top to start the cycle over.

I just would like a way to keep more plants going at once in my flowering room. and possibly my veg room.

I drew a Pic of it. Excuse the simplicity It was with windows paint.

Any ideas?

I've looked at the multiple systems that SH has and for what they do I can't bring myself to spend the money. I think a better system would be closer to the one I descibed and it really wouldn't be that hard to make.

Jonny,

I'm up for the advanced course. You're plan should work just fine and you're right sort of a quasi ebb and flow. More production and more control! Two things that we al want! Let's see if we have any other takers.

I'm experimental as you probably know. Got the basics down. I was thinking of doing an ebb and flow set up I found on another thread. You take a couple of 4' pvc fence post, put post caps on the ends to seal it, install some e&f adapters, drill some 3" holes about every 6-8" with some 3" net pots and you have a 6 plant grow tube system that is expandable. Just put them on a low table with a res underneath and use things like the chillers to keep everything in line. Probably not a new creation but I like the flexibility and growth potential and cheapness of the build. I'll probably get at least a 400 since I'll need 4x4 coverage and vent it properly. If things go well it could become quite a productive system in a small space. Almost made for a decent sized closet grow. Whatcha think?

Sounds good bro. I like PVC setups. Easy to clean and control, Doesn't seem to ever clog or have those types of problems either. My buddy works at a plumbing supply store and he has this new blue tubing " pipe " that I have actually used a couple times to repair plumbing in the house. Instead of welding or fusing Pvc (which is great stuff, but doesn't allow much flexibility or the ability to move stuff around easily.) I think I'm gonna use the blue stuff. You just Crimp the connections and they have a tool to "uncrimp" them as well. a 50' roll is just 50$ and you can just cut what you need. But yeah, Im onboard. Think I'm gonna get started on it next week.

Never heard of the blue tubing? Got a link or something. I'm having a conceptual problem but I just did fire up so that might be it. Thx

I'll wait for the pictures Jonny. At this point it's one thought at a time in my brain. I'm running serial and not parallel today! LOL! I just want to learn it all and experience it all. Ought to come out with some great ideas on this thread!

Ohh..you talkin bout one of those aeroponic pvc setups..i can see your vision..What you just flood like every 15 min?ive seen these but in the pvc pipe they can get rootbound.

Welcome to the thread Purp! Naw, I guess more of a recirculating DWC system. But I think that's what MostlyCrazy was talking about. I'd like to try some other methods in the near future, Ebb and flow, flood and drain, and NFT. But right now I'm just gonna elaborate on what I already know.

That's what I'm thinking man, Sometimes it's stressful trying to continue learning when one student in the class keeps asking the same question over and over, if ya catch my drift. Yeah I'll ask my buddy tomorrow what that pipe is called. :joint:

Man I'm so excited about the new strains I got in... And feminized too, first time I had the pleasant opportunity to work with them. I think I might plant themn in soil though and just clone into the systems. That way i can clone into soil too and have as many as I want off those six seeds

Man i would do the samething if i had a place to flower...im so limited to space..and heat is also an issue..im goin get one of those lil 99.00 window units to put in there. 47.00 a year to run.

Yeah purp it's ebb and flow but I do have concerns about root bound. I'm watching another thread of a guy who is trying it and so far so good. He started it out as drip but converted to E&F. He's in about the first week of flower though. Here's the link to the site and pics of his build.

Yea if they get rootbound...well you see these guys with those probs,,never had any root probs with the BP.

never had any real problems at all with the BP, unless they were self induced... Like I said at this point the only problem I'm having with it is the plants are growing too fast and I have nowhere to flower them right now.
