Hey kevin... i will be watching intently at the results. I will be leaving my next grow for 10 days and am going to use the 'cloudy weather' method and give the plants 30w floros the whole time... hopefully they won't drink all their water by the time I get back.

I also have a new thread in my sig in case you haven't seen yet. My next grow is going vertical.

4 days with no food or water and the moister meter still pegs wet. the plant is a healthy green, and the pollen sacks are growing slow and no plant growth at all. the bulb is a couple of feet from the top of the plant. this is the way to leave your plants unattended. when the soil drys completly i will give it a good soaking and stick it back under a 400mh and see how long it takes to see new growth. lets count the days.

Nice work. I'm glad it seems to be working so far. Sorry you have to be the guinea pig, but I really appreciate you letting us all know how it works.

Is your wife back? Was it a good trip? What happened to your avatar? (lot's of questions I know)

thought i had found a new avatar, just time for a change.
the blue mystic is looking yummy, if i told how good it was going i would be bragging.

day 6 with no food or water and no signs of problems or growth. i didn't bring the moister meter in tonight but i can tell it still has plenty of water by the weight. i'm thinking maybe 10 days? that would be sweet.

day 8 and the meter shows about a quarter. the lower leaves are yellowing, and no signs of growth. i'm going to call this experiment a success.
now to get the boy watered down and back to making pollen sacks.
last night one of the lower branches broke on the blue mystic, after manicuring it weighed 17 grams.
i need to do something with the vacation pics and post some of this beast. maybe after i get my chores done.

here are a few pics, the first one is the branch that broke the other night, i think she started out at 17 grams.



this next one is the 2 blue mystics, see how i had to prop this fat ass girl in the corner to keep her from falling over.
a friend was over and i learned some new slang, he said that top bud was going to be a coffee can. coffee can = 1/4 lb.



here we have bagseed betty's daughter, not a big yeilder but this is some of the sweetest herbs i've grown to date.



2 blue mystics to the right and the northern light in the corner. the n.l. is a freakin amazon.

hey jig, thanks for watching, it seems like it is you and i, with robert popping in every now and then. when i weighed the bud this morning it already lost a hundred grams, and they still feel wet and heavy. but damn do they smell good. it won't be long before i'm smoking a big ole joint of this stuff sitting on the beach in oceanside. care to join me? my wife is trying to talk herself into coming with me, but she doesn't want to use any vacation time. it's been years since we've done a road trip together. we usually fly.
