My bud leaves are turning yellow at the edges, do I really need to flush?

Do I really need to flush? It seems that the plant is doing a fine job of using up the leftover nutrients in her because the bud leaves are turning yellow at the edges with some whole bud leaves turning a really really light green. Won't it burn smooth and taste fine this way?

My plant is already deficient because it is really yellow, except much of the buds, so I think I will harvest it without flushing. I read an in depth look at flushing and they said that the burning taste and poor taste was attributed to over fertilization as opposed to not flushing. There really is no true answer to this question by the looks of it anyway. They also said that by flushing you get rid of nitrogen, which has a key role in producing the great flavors we all love.

the leaves will yellow during flowering as the plant focuses on bud production.yeah i would defitly flush will increase taste 10x

Dude, but the plant is already deficient enough and the purpose of flushing is to create a nutrient deficiency in the medium so a plant uses it's own, remaining, stored up energy. The point I'm trying to make is that my plant is already doing that naturally, so what is the purpose of creating deficiency when it is already occuring?

It's really, really yellow, there are no green fan leaves left. Only some very, very light green buds with some yellow leaves/tips. Maybe 80% brown hairs and all milky, with maybe 5% amber trichs. No pics.

The purpose of flushing is to get the nutes out of the smoke. It won't even burn properly if you don't flush properly.

Yeah, but you don't understand what i'm saying. You do a flush to make the plant deficient of nutes, but I am saying that I think mine is uber deficient enough because of the fast rate it is burning of nutes, get it, therefore making flushing pointless.

Flush it anyway. Better safe than sorry, right? Besides, you don't want the chance of your smoke tasting like chemicals and burning uneven and stuff like that. Be on the safe side and flush her.

I don't use chems, only organics (yes, I know they contain minerals too), and only vaporize. Very little smoking.

"Preharvest flushing puts the plant(s) under serious stress. The plant has to deal with nutrient deficiencies in a very important part of its cycle. Strong changes in the amount of dissolved substances in the root-zone stress the roots, possibly to the point of direct physical damage to them. Many immobile elements are no more available for further metabolic processes. We are loosing the fan leaves and damage will show likely on new growth as well.

The grower should react in an educated way to the plant needs. Excessive, deficient or unbalanced levels should be avoided regardless the nutrient source. organics need to be flushed too.. but what ever, ur a pro... lookin at this thread and ur confidence to ur assumptions, makes me wanna look at ur other threads and posts jus to see how full of shit u really r and how much u really dont know bout growin weed... hope no1 takes ur advise, i wouldnt!!!

You don't have to SOAK flush it, just water as you would regularly without giving any more fertilizer for the last week or 2. That will be flush enough.

A pre-harvest flush just consists of a regular watering schedule with no more fertilizer for a duration of at least a week.

Not a hosedown over a drain.

Hmm, I wish I had that time... it is only about 4-5 days from harvest and I have no water but tap.. guess I will have to go buy some, damn it.
