Yes, dogs are not born mean. Now it is true that breeding does affect the "ability" to get a dog to become pliable to violence at the behest of the owner (truly sad & insecure ppl), but in the end, the dog is not at fault for the alteration in its behavior.

Notice how Mike Vick was put in jail, and not the dogs... They are blameless.

Another thing, They listen to you. Weird for a dog I think, But then I think about the History behind the breed.
They did what we do, Cull stock(now days we just sterilize them) to make the next generation 'To Spec'
One of those Specs was to listen(Or watch body language) to the owner!
