Probably need to spray with caterpillar killer earlier next time then because since I started I have only found 1 dead caterpillar. That plant was the only one with alot of rot.

Oh we'll get down and dirty with all of these. I dont know how you can stand all that heat. Of course I had to get a summer flu last Sat so that didnt help coping with this heat. Glad it cools down around 5 PM. Plants are liking it though.
I am going to setup a support system for the plants as I dont think they will do well in the wind or, as some are looking, even under their own weight. At first I was going to put up the Costco carport but I cant find one and I think it would attract attention to them if I did. I plan on putting up wood like Hodges and tieing the branches to the support cross beams. I will take pics as Im sure I didnt describe that well.

With the height of your plants being around 5 to 6 foot, just get some of those metal t-post and use plastic tape..cheaper..

What metal T posts? Only the WC clones, HJ and 2 of the JS are 5-6 ft. All the WC and CC are 7-8 ft. Will those still work? I was going to use the plastic plant green tape

T-Post come in different heights and I think you can get them in 7 footers? Farm supply or Home Depot should have them..Good luck with what ever you decide..

For a minute there I forgot whose threat I was in
I went out today and sprayed with spinosad. Found 2 more fat bastard caterpillars in my JS 1. That one is almost done. In the 10th week of flower. The HJ is looking done too which is strange since I dont think its been very long. I will have to check my log.
Anyway went and sprayed and when I sprayed the WC red/pink (biggest one) it leaned over at a 45 degree angle and didnt straighten out. I was hopin it wasnt going to snap today as I had to do to work down south.
When I got back I went to HD and bought 1"x2"x 8 ft pieces of wood. Since mine are not in the ground but in pots I had to figure out how to support the big plants because things are getting fat and the branches are starting to twist.
I bought some of that plastic green tie tape to tie up the plant to the wood. It is sturdy and flexible too. I originally thought I could just jam the wood down along the inside of the pots but I dont think that will do. I finally figured out I could make a tee-pee structure with the wood and use the green tape to tie them to the wood. I will need to get a saw to cut the wood since mine crapped out. Going to do that after lunch tomorrow. Tomorrow is Weekly update so I will get some pics of the new support.

I was going to use PVC but I thought it would be too flexible so I got the 1 in x 2 in x 8ft @ $0.75/board. I need to get a saw and cut some the wood pieces off a few feet. It works really well doing it just like you said. I have some branches that are twisting I need to correct or they will end up pointing downward soon with the weight.Oh BTW. So far since you said the damaged ares were from caterpillars I have dug out 3 fat bastards. There are these butterflies around here and I wonder if those caterpillars belong to them. I will continue spraying with the caterpillar stuff on a weekly basis.
