Too much light or water??

I have got two small clay pots that are currently growing under two 3500k clf lights ( i know thats not the best and im getting different ones.) each pot has two plants.
my light cycle is 24/0 and while i was gone this weekend some of my plants started acting weird. one of them have yellow tips. one other has leaves curlrling upwards (indicating needing water?) and the other with its leaves drooping slightly (indicating overwatering)... and the last one is growing wonderfully and is strong and looks perfect..
im just a little confused. if they all have the same light and the same watering then what is going on. these are bag seed but i know the strain. is it just the particular strain or what??/ and insight would be wonderful.
also if i need to post any pics in order to help than i will gladly do so.
please and thank you.

That sounds about right for bagseed bro. You never know what your getting with bagseed. It could just be the trait that the individual plant has.

Hey Guys, so im just updating. i ended up getting two 6500 k bulbs and added those to my box. and the growth difference has been phenomenal!! my only concern is that the lowest leaves of the plants are still yellow... which is odd because the rest of the plant looks perfectly good and healthy.
also those two extra bulbs have uped the heat level quite a bit. i hope that doesn't stress them out two bad.

Hopefully you have a fan of some sort to help keep things cool and the air moving. You also might want to give them a little snack. Yellowing on the lower leaves is usually a Nitrogen deficiency.

really? that is what one of my buddies told me it was too.
so how exactly would i go about giving my girls some "treats." im not firmiliar with nitrogen rich plant treats. haha. this is my first grow after all.
p.s. im starting to see how air flow is drastically important. i orginally just had two 12v computer fans. but that just wasn't cutting it. i was getting temps in the high nintys !!! so i am trying to have the door open as often as possible and im using a large square fan to help circulate the air throughout my room and my box.
thanks for the input :)

I just started myself along with this website...I friend gave me the clone and it's growing...but it has one bottom leaf leaf that is turning yellow, the other 6 sprouts are well....the closet is lined with foil and 2 lamp w/ flurecent bulbs...the good lights/ lamps come next week...any advice on growing tips needed

Fox Farms are good fertilizers for mj. Botanicare, General Hydroponics, Advanced Nutrients. If you have a grow shop nearby I suggest going there and asking lot's of questions. Just make sure you pay in cash and you should be good if you go to the hydro shop.

That is something i need to do for sure. i was just kinda waiting because my plants are still very young and i didn't want to over fertilize or anything since my soil already fertilizes.....
shouuld i do it anyways?

If the soil already has nutes in it I would wait until you start seeing deficiencies, unless you are familiar with it and know approximately how long it takes to deplete it. Just be careful with the nutes. I generally start out at 1/4 strenght and work up slowly. I usually feed with every other watering to prevent salt buildup.

hell ya. thanks for the feedback. i was wondering if you could give me some advice on the issue that i am now facing with my box.
i am in need of a fan for my box, because just like you said, i need some fresh air moving through the box. i need a fan that is strong enough to work with the DIY carbon scrubber that i found on here.
i originally was going to use a 4 inch duct fan from home depot. (my box is 2ft wide. 3ft. tall by the way) but i have been doing more research and people have been saying that those aren't the best to use.
so i guess im just curious if you or anyone else has any suggestions on an efficeint fan for a small box.....

mmm cool cool. i just looked these up and they look perfect for what i need. much appreciation +rep.
and im not really sure how big the filter will be. have you seen the DIY filter on here? i guess however big the end of the biggest pencil cup is, but i can always use something to narrow or widen its connection to the fan. but seeings how i have a pretty damn small box i dont think a 6 in would be neccessary, do you???

These fans are also great.

The TD-100 is great for your setup, plus its a lot quieter than the vortex. I have the TD-150, runs quite and they have excellent reviews. As far as your filter goes, you can make one yourself, just have to make sure its rated for you square footage and for your fans cfm. I made one recently...If your interested look it up here.

Or do a search, there is plenty of DIY tutorial out there, plus you end up finding stuff you would have never searched in the first place. Be prepared to read a lot.

Sounds like their too hot.

Usually the outer tips of the leaves will "fan out" and turn yellowish if they are trying to stay cool, could probably either use more air, or a higher light.

Good luck
