Yeah dude, get a duct fan and some ducting and exhaust that hot air right out your window. you can throw some towels over the fan to muffle it like I do...

Well, I use a 6 inch duct fan for 25 bucks from HTG and it works fine. The 4 inch one did not cut it for me. I had a nice 6 inch vortex fan I bought for over a hundred bucks and it was wayyy too powerful so I use the cheap 6inch and it works perfect. With the fan on and lights on my inside tent temps are 10 degrees hotter than the room the tent is in. Which i feel is pretty good...
luck to you

get a ac unit and try to filter it in there some how, i have the same problems but if your temps are that hot your plants wont grow for shit, i have a 400 watt to but i put the fan to blow through my light and that helped cool it down alot but them grow tents are junk and hold to much heat, im buildin a room next time

Stgeneziz this is what I use

6" Inline Duct Fan

Rated at 250 cfm (cubic feet per minute) Tried and true tools for the heating and cooling trade, wisely adapted for cooling grow light reflectors. An Inline Duct Fan is a reliable and cost effective way to keep temperature in the indoor garden under control. Use one fan per light or to increase the efficiency of an exhaust system. These economically priced fans have a lesser cfm (cubic feet per minute air exchange) than the high output CAN-FANS also available on this site. Perfect for air cooling a single lighting reflector or ventilating a small closet sized grow room.
Wired to plug into a standard household outlet!

What dimension homebox are you using? What is your ventilation system like, and is this 6" inline fan enough to keep it cool? Thanks!

I am using a Homebox small which is 31.5 x 31.5 x 63 inches...with a 400 watt light and that cheap 6 inch duct fan is enough for me but keep in mind my homebox sits in a basement that is 70 degrees

well i think there junk and they are way to hard to keep at a good temperature, hot summer days you have to use a ac unit because if your not , your just blowing hot air in the tent and theres no way that will cool anything down and depending on your size them 25 dollar inline fans dont do squat because in my space it didnt. you can get the same inline fans at home depot

Thank you for your response.

What does the temp in the tent get up to? Are you using a cooltube?

Just trying to get an idea as I'm pondering a similar setup in either the homebox small or the one up from that. The ambient temp is warmer for me (76-78 degrees)
