hey cheech, you got a link or the name of that fan, i'm about to invest in some cooling options and cheap is good!!!Well, I use a 6 inch duct fan for 25 bucks from HTG and it works fine. The 4 inch one did not cut it for me. I had a nice 6 inch vortex fan I bought for over a hundred bucks and it was wayyy too powerful so I use the cheap 6inch and it works perfect. With the fan on and lights on my inside tent temps are 10 degrees hotter than the room the tent is in. Which i feel is pretty good...
luck to you
thanx a mil!!!!Stgeneziz this is what I use
6" Inline Duct Fan

Rated at 250 cfm (cubic feet per minute) Tried and true tools for the heating and cooling trade, wisely adapted for cooling grow light reflectors. An Inline Duct Fan is a reliable and cost effective way to keep temperature in the indoor garden under control. Use one fan per light or to increase the efficiency of an exhaust system. These economically priced fans have a lesser cfm (cubic feet per minute air exchange) than the high output CAN-FANS also available on this site. Perfect for air cooling a single lighting reflector or ventilating a small closet sized grow room.
What dimension homebox are you using? What is your ventilation system like, and is this 6" inline fan enough to keep it cool? Thanks! Its cheap and it works for my tent. jsteezy, I like my homebox I dont think its junk at all. I grow sick herb in that thing and its totally hidden and secret so it works great for people who have company alot and cant have a whole room dedicated to growing... I grow more than enough to keep me and my friends and fam stoned
Thank you for your response.I am using a Homebox small which is 31.5 x 31.5 x 63 inches...with a 400 watt light and that cheap 6 inch duct fan is enough for me but keep in mind my homebox sits in a basement that is 70 degrees
