all new growth looks singed

Hello all. Two days after a sulfur burn the new growth on all of my clones / mom look singed. I have hardly been feeding them (500 ppm every other water) because I won't need them for over a month and they are about 10" under 4 ft t-5's. ph of water / nutrient solution is about 6.2. I can say that up until a couple weeks ago it was 6.5 but they are all in pro mix so it should be buffered anyway.

The temps average about 80f when lights are on. There is a pretty high level of cotwo in the room b/c the other tent is enriched (experimenting.) This is literally happening to every spot of new growth. Not gowing into the flower tent till tonight but as of last night they didn't seem to be showing anything like this.

Its prob not "nute burn" more like nute/micro deficiency.
They look good otherwise man.
Have a good Labor Day

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I would er on the side of a deficiency too since they don't really get fed that much and I really let them wash out. Also, they have been fed different strength's and times than the mom and they all have the same burning so I'm thinking that it might be more environmental? What kind of feeding program is best to keep things simple for moms?

hey no prob man, I try to share the love I was given.
I hate to see anyone have a loss.

Nute burns/over feed usually results in damage not deformities.
It the tips turn yellow and curl under, that's def nute burn.

Maybe it's over the sulfur burn and it's a mutation possibly from the stress.

And some strains grow odd, I have a female I almost killed because I thought it was a hermi.
It looks way different than my others the leaves looks like sacks before they roll out and they r slow about doing it...
The whole plant looks a bit different tan my other tho, yours looks pretty good tho so maybe there isn't anything to fret over at all...

there are three strains in there, two phenos of chocolope and they all have the same thing so I don't think it's the strain. I just peeked in the flower tent and didnt see anything weird like that - but then again any new growth in there is hard to gauge because it's covered by the flowers.

two things that these plant got that the others in flower didn't - 1/8 tsp per gal superthrive

and a 2.5 hr sulfur burn - well the other tent got it too but this one's 1/4 the size.

myb 2 much superthrive, ive read too much will cause deformity in MJ
I use it myself and here is my usage
1 drop (I use a glass eye dropper) normally every gal up to flowering
2 drops for a stressed plant
3 drops for a problem plant
in a gal of water + a cap of hydrogen peroxide

1 drop in a small 8 oz cup w/ water for clones

So that could be it right there man.
I would say just back off off them to 1 drop max per gal of water.

Thanks for the tips - but why would they put 1/4 tsp per gallon for active developement on the label???

Bud you gotta remember 1 thing about Weed growing, the directions on the label are NOT for it. It also says just a drop will do ya as well on the package, so Im not sure where you got that because mine suggest a drop.

None the less I really think that's the deal right there. Your prob ok and all it just looks funny. That shit is expensive anyways to use it at that dose, it doesn't do that much good to warrant that much a dose.

Happy growin Bro:bigjoint:

Yeah, it's got a lot of different dosages on there. Heck, a guy at a local commercial garden supply place told me he uses a cap full a gallon in his garden.

From now on it's a drop a gallon. Actually, if all it (whatever the problem is) does is slow down the new growth, I'm cool with that b/c I can't really do anything with these guys till the end of october. Btw, just fyi - some of these clones were fimmed as they were taken and they are the bushy looking ones. The ones that werent are just straight and normal looking. I think I'll be doing that to all from now on.

Could be too much superthrive

Only use 1 drop per gallon, more isn't better

I saw some new growth that looks ok, hopefully it was just one of those two things - superthrive od or the sulfur burner in too small a space. Either way, a little sunted growth with these guys is welcome!

Right on Bud, I think you will be just fine, also hear not to use it after 2 weeks flower.

Also any "commerical farmers" advice won't be for weed unless that's what they are really growing, so just because it would do veggies or fruit good with that much, doesn't mean our sweet sweet MHJ would like it the same.

Anyhow you will be just fine more than likely.:bigjoint:

Well, this drama hasn't gone away, I thought if i just didnt think about it - it would! So, now there is some new growth that looks ok, some that looks fried, and lots of leaves of every size that look like they're being eaten by caterpillars - but there arent any caterpillars and there is no waste from an insect. the only insects I've been able to trap/see are fungus gnats and they don't eat leaves????????? Here are some pics of what the damage looks like, also seeing some of the burnt new growth on a much smaller scale in my flower tent.
